Job Requirements: Veterinary Technicians at PESCM are responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice. In addition to veterinary technician skills such as patient restraint, administering medications, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy, technicians in the Neurology department will be responsible for the following:
RVT preferred but 2 years' experience minimum necessary
Assisting with care of hospitalized patients in our state-of-the-art ICU
Assisting in specialized diagnostic procedures such as MRI & CT Scans
Assisting in specialized surgery procedures such as hemilaminectomy
Documenting history and updates in medical records
Provide quality, compassionate care for your patients
Assist in anesthetic and sedated procedures such as CSF taps
Maintain accurate treatment sheets & provide compassionate care for hospitalized patients
Take radiographs and obtain and prepare various blood samples for diagnostic testing
Provide client education on a wide range of at home care
About You
RVT preferred but 2 years' experience minimum necessary
Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring required
Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens
Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Understanding of normal vs abnormal physiologic ranges
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected.

Salary: $30.00 - $36.00 / hour, dependent on experience
Sign-on Bonus: $3,000 for licensed technicians
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 6:30pm

Forhyre is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team and help provide uncompromised animal care! As a Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs), you will be responsible for providing quality, compassionate care to a variety of animals.
A day as an LVT can include, IV placements, blood and urine collection, x-rays, client communications, administering vaccines, triage, admitting patients for hospitalization and ICU care. Anesthetic procedures include general surgery, specialty surgery, MRI, scoping, dentistry and emergency procedures. Cross training in Specialty Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Emergency and Laboratory is available.

They must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong commitment to the quality of animal care required for the job is essential.
To be successful in this job, the ideal candidate must have a valid veterinary technician license and certification. Previous experience working in a veterinary setting is required. The successful candidate should also have knowledge of basic medical terminology and be skilled in handling animals safely and responsibly.
