    This is a full time position. Thursday-Saturday 7:30am-8pm, 36hrs a week with potential for holidays. This is a newly created position! We are expanding our Avian/Exotics department and are looking for an experienced Assistant or a Certified Vet Technician to join our Waltham team. This new position provides technical support to our Avian/Exotics Veterinarian by assisting with case management and technical procedures of A/E patients, as well as communications with clients and referring veterinarians. We are looking for applicants with Avian/Exotic specific technical skills including, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia, gavage feeding, medication administration and critical care. This position provides a unique opportunity to practice in an intimate client-focused setting, but with numerous amenities from the larger MSPCA-Angell Boston hospital as support. We are a values based organization with a focus on client service, patient care and life-work balance. COMPENSATION: Veterinary Assistants starting $22-$27/hour Certified Veterinary Technicians starting $25-$30/hr, $5000 Sign on Bonus for CVTs!
