What You'll Do
As a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our medical team and ensuring each patient receives the best possible care. In this role, you will:
Assist doctors and nurses with patient care and procedures
Perform daily husbandry for hospitalized patients, including feeding, walking, and cleaning
Properly restrain patients using fear-free handling techniques
Prepare and run in-house laboratory tests (CBC, Chemistry, UA, etc.)
Stock treatment and exam areas, maintain hospital cleanliness, and manage laundry

Support outpatient appointments by preparing rooms, restraining for diagnostics, and cleaning between patients

Anticipated Schedule
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling.
Typical hours will range between 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM, including some weekends.
Shifts may look like Saturday-Monday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with flexibility for four 10-hour shifts per week.
Compensation

Job Description
Forhyre is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team and help provide uncompromised animal care! As a Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs), you will be responsible for providing quality, compassionate care to a variety of animals.
A day as an LVT can include, IV placements, blood and urine collection, x-rays, client communications, administering vaccines, triage, admitting patients for hospitalization and ICU care. Anesthetic procedures include general surgery, specialty surgery, MRI, scoping, dentistry and emergency procedures. Cross training in Specialty Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Emergency and Laboratory is available.
You will be required to administer injections, measure and record vital signs, collect and analyze samples, monitor anesthesia, take radiographs, monitor and treat animals in recovery, and assist the veterinarian in any procedures.
The successful candidate will be highly organized and able to perform tasks efficiently under pressure. They must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong commitment to the quality of animal care required for the job is essential.
To be successful in this job, the ideal candidate must have a valid veterinary technician license and certification. Previous experience working in a veterinary setting is required. The successful candidate should also have knowledge of basic medical terminology and be skilled in handling animals safely and responsibly.

Qualifications for the Veterinary Technician include:
