Southside Animal Hospital and Wellness Center is seeking an Associate Veterinarian. Southside Animal Hospital and Wellness Center is a small animal general practice facility serving the community of southern Anchorage since 1996. Dr. Sandstrom has been leading our team for the last year and is excited to start growing! We are looking for a veterinarian who is passionate about supporting our tight-knit community. All experience levels are welcome. We have the capacity to onboard and mentor a newly graduated doctor and would welcome the expertise of a more seasoned vet as well. Our team is dynamic and easy to get along with. We love to work together to provide progressive lifelong patient care along with orthopedic surgery complemented by canine rehabilitation through our on-site Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. We are dedicated to supporting our doctors and staff as they continue to grow their general medicine skills and soft tissue surgery experience; we would love to support advanced surgery training, ultrasound and other niche medical skills that would be of benefit to the doctor and the team. We provide care for dogs, cats, and ferrets and are open to expanding care to exotic animals and pocket pets. Our hospital hosts advanced diagnostics including in-house hematology equipment, digital full body and dental radiology, as well as reinvesting in a new ultrasound machine in the past year. We utilize Cornerstone software and are almost fully transitioned to Electronic Medical Records. Our team is dedicated and tenured and keeps the day drama free. We enjoy holiday potlucks together, as well as team events such as staff picnics and group zoo visits.
