Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups

The Wound Care Nurse provides quality, cost-effective management of a caseload of patients via telehealth and remote encounters for patients across multiple states who have complex wound care needs. The Dairy Technical Services field colleague, under general supervision, is responsible for:
Calling on dairy producers, veterinarians, dealers, consultants and distributor representatives to provide scientific support so Zoetis may achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.

Required Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent

What You'll Do
The Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) systematically gains toxicology knowledge through the APC's staged training and mentoring process. The CVT plays a critical role at the APC as the first point of contact for pet owners who need assistance with pets that have been exposed to potentially dangerous substances. The environment is team oriented and supportive to set CVTs up for success in this fast paced and challenging position. Our CVTs obtain a complete history, document exposure circumstances in the electronic medical record, calculate dosages, and use in-house protocols to either manage cases or to escalate cases to a veterinarian for further management. The CVT participates in other projects and events that are established to support APC work, further education, and enhance communication within the ASPCA.

Where and When You'll Work
This is a regional remote position. Candidates must be U.S. based and reside within a 350 mile radius of the ASPCA Office in Champaign, IL for the duration of employment, and be available for travel to Champaign, IL. Schedule:
This is a late evening position that includes nights, evenings, and holidays.

We provide the option of a full overnight shift (10:00p - 6:00a) and partial overnight shifts (4:00a - 12:00p or 8:00p - 4:00a) or a mix of the two.

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, training, experience, location, business needs, internal equity, market demands or budgeted amount for the role. The target hiring range is for new hire offers only, and staff compensation may increase beyond the maximum hiring range based on performance over time. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications
We're Looking For:
A Registered Veterinary Technician with an active license required, 1+ year professional experience preferred but not required
Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts
Availability to work some Saturdays shifts
Excellent client communication and medical record management skills
Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations
Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques
Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens
Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture, with additional skills in dental radiography being a plus
Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring
Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and unwavering commitment to animal welfare in a dynamic veterinary setting.
