RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This is a PRN/Temporary position working various hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers
Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines
(5%) MRI Department Support
Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

As a Veterinary Technician, you will:
* Responsible for the health and well-being of all animals in the care of Animal Services (i.e., fosters, impounded animals, etc.).
* Coordinate animal care with a licensed veterinarian contracted by the City of Sugar Land Animal Services and keep the Animal Shelter Supervisor apprised of decisions and communication.
* Provide good customer service by addressing medical questions by potential adopters, foster volunteers, those who have animals on sleepovers, and animals adopted with ongoing medical treatment sheets/issues.
* Assist contracted Veterinarian during regular rounds at the shelter and assist the Shelter Supervisor(s) in compiling a comprehensive list of animals needing to be seen. Carry out the Veterinarian's directions in the form of medical treatment plans and medications.
* Ensure medications are dispensed in compliance with Animal Services policies and the direction of the veterinarian. Accurately complete medication cards with clear directions for staff by updating information in the shelter software.
* Conduct all animal intake exams including animals from the field, animals brought into the shelter, and animals available for evaluation after the end of the stray hold time. Assess animals for illness, medical concerns, and potential ongoing medical issues.
* Coordinate with the Animal Services Manager and Field Supervisor regarding the transportation of animals between the animal shelter and the veterinary office.
* Create and maintain an accurate medical chart using the shelter software (i.e., Chameleon) on each animal receiving medical care.
* Required to work as an essential employee before, during, and after an emergency or natural disaster.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Animal Shelter Supervisor, Animal Services Manager, Director, or his/her designee.
Formal Education:
* High School Diploma or GED Certification required.
Relatable Work Experience:
* Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience working as a Veterinary Technician required.
* Municipal or County experience preferred.
Training (License and/or Certification):
* Valid Class "C" Texas Driver License required.
* Certified Veterinary Technician.

JOB SUMMARY
Assists the veterinarian in performing sterilization procedures and other surgeries. Conducts animal health examinations and assists in the treatment of sick or injured animals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years' experience as a Vet Assistant or Vet Tech, or other closely related field, OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
OR
Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or other closely related field, plus one (1) year of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Along with, Veterinary Technology certification through the State of Utah, or certification must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
A valid Driver's License recognized by the State of Utah is required to operate a Salt Lake County vehicle at the time of hire.
Must receive a verified negative test result on a mandatory drug test before starting in this position. Will be subject to random alcohol and drug testing. May be subject to post accident and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Monitors animal population for any change in behavior, appetite, water/food intake, or any sign of illness; reports unusual situations to the veterinarian. Husbandry and nursing care of shelter animals
+ Initiates treatment and provides medications based on established infectious disease protocols.
+ Triage and initiate emergency stabilization and diagnostics with indirect supervision from veterinarian.
+ Ensures clinic areas, equipment and supplies are cleaned, re-stocked and maintained appropriately.
