Veterinary Technician - Anesthesia Nurse
We're expanding our team and seeking a skilled veterinary nurse (vet tech) to join our Anesthesia Department. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience monitoring anesthesia, with exposure to both critical and non-critical cases preferred. A current CVT/LVT/RVT license or educational equivalent is preferred.
The schedule(s) we are hiring for is:
6 a.m. - 4 p.m.: Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday - Wednesday/Thursday at the surgery center; Monday/Friday at MVA
7 a.m. - 5 p.m.: Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday - Wednesday/Thursday at the surgery center; Monday/Friday at MVA
Requirements

Qualifications
Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role required
Knowledge of animal care and handling
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
Previous experience with monitoring anesthesia desired
Patience and a love for animals
Compensation: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour

Responsibilities and Skills:
Assist with MRI/ CT procedures and diagnostics
Assist Neurologist with procedures
**May assist other departments as needed to increase knowledge and exposure to other specialties**
Able to properly restrain patients for a neurologic exam, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement
Ensure proper set up of exam rooms
Assist with appointments and client communication
Maintain stock of necessary supplies
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience as a veterinary technician, (can be outside of Neurology)
VTS preferred
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Organized and have excellent time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
