Associate veterinarian desired for independent 6-doctor, AAHA accredited small animal, avian and exotic practice in NW Columbus OH (Dublin area). Our 38 year-old practice includes general/specialized surgery, digital radiology (including dental), ultrasound, surgical laser, therapy laser and complete in-house lab. We are pleased to be 'paperless' since 2016 and we currently use Ezyvet cloud based practice management software. We offer a supportive learning environment where collaboration with colleagues is encouraged, along with the assistance of our incomparable paraprofessional staff. Our ideal candidate should have strong desire to work with exotics or previous avian/exotic experience and have an interest in Fear Free techniques. Some experience is required, a minimum of one year in general practice, with reasonable comfort in typical canine/feline surgery and basic dentistry. Preferred work schedule is 4 days a week, with weekend duty once a month. Absolutely no after hours emergencies, late nights or on-call work. Salary commensurate with experience. Per ORC 4741.01 (G), oversee and monitor the assignments of veterinary assistants. Report discrepancies and/or violations to the assistant director. Prepare surgery area for animals and verify appropriate information. Prepare drugs and animals for surgical procedures. Monitor the vital signs of animals and maintain surgical drug logs. Prepare post-operational surgical instructions. Perform follow-ups and maintain surgical instruments. Monitor and report shelter and sanitary issues to the assistant director. Assist in tracking and ordering of supplies as directed. Provide follow-up services as necessary. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Shall participate in adoption promotional events, dog waling and dog care, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in Veterinarian Technology with one (1) year of animal care experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
