Responsibilities:
Client Finances
* Develop/maintain intense invoice audit cadence that focuses on daily and real-time reviews of exam, procedure, and surgical invoices.
* Review estimates for charge accuracy.
* Support business or CSR team to collect payment for deposit of treatment plans or updated treatment plans.
* Conducts daily invoice audits on current and discharged patients to verify accuracy. Verifies that Care Credit or similar programs will cover services provided and communicates with the Billing Team if additional payment is needed. Follows up within appropriate time frame in communicating any billing discrepancies with the treating DVM and/or Practice Manager.
* Inform the medical team when the deposit is close to the high end of clients agreed estimate and in cooperation with attending Doctor, decide whether a new estimate should be provided, and new deposit collected.
* Prepares request for client account balance adjustments in accordance with client specific procedures.
In-house administrative tasks
* Participate in patient rounds with team members
* Complete and discuss financial estimates for clients as directed by doctors
* Ensure all patients are identifiable with a cage card
* Act as conduit between doctor and the client regarding adjustments to treatment plans and their financial implications
* Activate computer reminders and insert communications, treatments and diagnostics

* Coordinate patient transfers if necessary
Medical Record Management
* Evaluate and report on quality of medical record documentation and alignment with charges.
* Enter communication notes in patient files of all relevant phone or in-person conversations with clients, inclusive of lab results
* Verify and/or witness client's statements regarding procedures, including euthanasia
* Accurately scan and attach all paper medical records to EzyVet Exam-Room Tasks

Nursing care tasks
