High quality, independent post-grad hospital experience including any or all the following:
Small animal GP with dynamic and consistent mentorship

Qualifications
As a W2 employee with full benefits your salary will be guaranteed for both full- and part-time doctors. FT starts at just 34 hours/week and PT at 25 hours/week. Our vets are paid hourly so if you decide to stay late to help a clinic catch up, you will get paid for every minute of that shift. Each IndeVet's hourly compensation is determined by your location and the number of years you have actively been practicing veterinary medicine. The current range for this market is $68.00 - $75.00 an hour. Our FT Associate IndeVets start out with a base that's over six figures and that doesn't include all of the ways you can earn more by taking shifts that offer additional compensation that can add up to an additional $10.00 -$20.00 an hour. There are tons of ways to earn, but all on your terms.

Marshall Farms' Veterinary Technician participates in all veterinary technical responsibilities for beagles, ferrets, minipigs and cats. The Veterinary Technician reports to the Veterinary Technician Supervisor. The veterinary staff provides professional support and guidance.
The Veterinary Technician completes all tasks on the basis of priority, as communicated by the Veterinary Technician Supervisor, and as determined by the Veterinary staff and the Director of Production. The Veterinary Technician is responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed as directed and documented according to required procedures.
Animal Health
Ensures, in the course of duties, that all veterinary matters are brought to the attention of the veterinary staff.
Conducts pre-shipment quality examinations of beagles and cats; these examinations are conducted in strict adherence to written protocol to ensure compliance with all customer and internal requirements for shipment. Collects and runs bloodwork and performs laboratory tasks as needed.
Participates in the conduct of cardiac auscultation and general health examination of all potential beagle breeders.
Administers vaccines across all species.
Conducts a formal assessment of skin health in all beagles at the required age.
Assists the veterinary and/or production staff with elective or non-elective surgical/ anesthetic procedures as necessary.
Conducts reviews, as required by the sales, production, or veterinary staff, of all “hold” and “reserve” orders for beagles to determine state of health and eligibility for sale.
Diagnostic Laboratory and Other
Conducts semi-annual FELASA testing in beagles, cats and minipigs, ensuring that samples are properly collected, submitted, and results presented to the veterinary staff for review and summarization.
Assists in the performance of various technical tasks as needed, including ECGs, radiography, and laboratory procedures for all colonies.
Administer treatments as necessary.

Requirements
Education/ Licensure:
NYS- Veterinary Technician License required.
Competency Requirements:
Individual will proficiently interact with cross-functional teams and possess good organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills. The Veterinary Technician has a mastery level of all areas of Animal Care including basic and intensive care, dosage calculations and administration of medications. Individual has mastery level of knowledge related to animal behavior during all phases of Animal Care.

Individual will be expected to envision potential, foster enthusiasm and commitment in colleagues in departmental performance and institutional goals. The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
The Veterinary Technician provides veterinary care to research animals. Responsibilities will include inspecting research animals housed by URMC, monitoring health status of research animals, and evaluate and implement a diagnosis and treatment plan for sick or injured animals. The employee will participate in collecting biological samples on a variety of species and provide routine care, such as vaccinations and parasite control. The employee will be required to keep detailed and accurate records of health evaluations and surgical procedures. The employee will participate in the training of others biomethodology and required skills. Other responsibilities will include working in the area of the rodent health-monitoring program and performing various diagnostic procedures. Emergency duties required during adverse weather and/or other emergency situations.
Responsibilities
General Purpose
Provides direct primate research support at the professional level and takes charge of the health and safety of a primate colony.
Specific Responsibilities
Under general direction and exercising independent technical judgment, is in charge of a segment of complex research in a larger project, or works independently in specialized research assignments. Responsibilities include most or all of the following, as well as other related duties:
Prepares, monitors and recovers primates during anesthesia and paralysis for adaptive optics imaging. This involves primate specific positioning in a custom stereotaxic cart, contact lens placement and eye preparation, close physiological monitoring and adjustment of plane of anesthesia for several hours and recovery. These procedures involve the use of a ventilator and anesthesia machine, stereotaxic cart, custom contact lenses, pulse oximeters and observation of the pupil size and quality. (25%)
Responsible for the health of a non-human primate colony (marmosets), which includes monitoring and decision making surrounding post-operative complications in primates that have received eye surgery. (25%)
Ensures primates are comfortable with colony and acclimated to performing behavioral experiments with primates. May help in training primates in specific behavioral tasks (25%)
Insures that health and safety practices are maintained in accordance with University policy and the law. (10%)
Coordinates purchasing for non-human primate research: repair of equipment, requisitioning of supplies and research materials and minor construction. May recommend expenditures for laboratory equipment and authorize expenditures for expendable supplies. (10%)
Designs or collaborates in designing research equipment. Evaluates the performance of research equipment, making or recommending correctional design changes or developing new approaches for its use. (5%)
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology required;
- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology preferred.
- Four years as a practicing licensed veterinary technician with extensive surgical and anesthetic experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a biomedical research facility preferred.
- Knowledge of Federal and State Animal Welfare Regulations and current veterinary care standards required by AAALAC,
- International and NIH preferred.
- Current NY state professional license as a veterinary technician required.

Fun-loving, two doctor, feline-exclusive veterinary hospital in beautiful Rochester, NY is looking for an energetic, compassionate, motivated technician or technician assistant.
