Tired of the corporate life? Do you want to practice YOUR way? No micromanaging, limits on products to use, and best yet, WE WILL FIRE RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS CLIENTS! Life is too short to be miserable at work. Animal Health and Wellness Hospital is a privately-owned, 3 doctor small-animal practice in Rural Hall, North Carolina, a suburb of Winston-Salem. Due to the practice's fast growth, our team is expanding! We are in search of a DVM who practices high-quality medicine in a team-orientated environment. We serve mainly dogs and cats but will see exotic pets if the individual doctor desires- your choice! Our hospital is equipped with digital radiographs, IDEXX Lab suite, companion laser therapy, dental radiographs, and ultrasound.
We are very open to starting an integrative part of our practice since there is a need in our area for that style of practice, although this is not mandatory for our new associate. Also, we receive referrals for our work with FIP treatment and follow up!
Our benefits include 100% paid health and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, paid sick time, a simple IRA, continuing-education allowance and paid time off, and we offer competitive salaries and a signing bonus. We strive to support a healthy work-life balance for all of our employees. Please send resumes to *********************.
Winston Salem is home to Wake Forest University as well as multiple sports complexes and performing arts venues. Truist Ballpark is nationally ranked and home to the Dash--a minor-league baseball team for the Chicago White Sox. Winston's cobble-stone street historic district features museums, art galleries, and an assortment of fine dining. It is 20 minutes from tourist attractions like Pilot Mountain. It is an easy drive from Winston Salem to the eclectic mountain town of Asheville and the Biltmore Estate or the metropolitan cities of Charlotte or Raleigh.
We are in search of a DVM who shares our commitment to patient care and customer service. We welcome new ideas and therapies, particularly integrative medicine as we would like to develop that area of our practice. Interest in surgery is welcome but not necessary. Our current doctors can perform intricate soft tissue surgeries such as perineal urethrostomies which they are willing to teach to new associates. We have a traveling specialist surgeon who regularly visits our practice to perform certain orthopedic surgeries such as TPLOs or complicated fracture repair.
Continuing education is highly supported not only for veterinarians but also for our staff. Staff to doctor ratio is 3:1 and your assistants are highly trained to take radiographs, place IV catheters, draw blood, intubate surgical patients, read ear and urine cytology, perform medical treatments as needed, and run in house blood analyzers.
All appointments are 30 minutes in length and several appointments per day are blocked out for same day sick patients. Drop off patient time is also blocked in the schedule. We schedule a daily 2 hour break for catch up and lunch. And best of all, our last appointment is scheduled at 5:00pm so that everyone goes home at 6:00pm!

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Veterinary Technician Job In Greensboro, NC
Nursing - Greensboro, North Carolina If you're reading this, you know firsthand the pressure we've been under as an industry over the last few years. With over 23 million new pets in American homes, the veterinary profession has been at a near breaking point with ER hospitals and general practices at max capacity. The challenges are many and there's no instant fix, but we see an opportunity to help.
*At Truss Vet, we envision a more compassionate world where quality of life is elevated; where there is joy in the human-animal bond, unencumbered by poor health, limited resources or inadequate access to care. Our mission is to bridge gaps in veterinary care and strengthen our community by reimagining the way animal hospitals serve pets and people.*
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVT/LVT/CVT) at Truss Vet, you are the backbone of clinical operations. You help set the standard for patient care, client experience, and team wellbeing. This means ensuring the highest quality practice of medicine and a commitment to constant improvement, providing the most fear free handling, cultivating a fun, work-hard/play-hard team environment, exceeding client expectations, and interacting with your team fairly and professionally as they (and you!) deserve to be treated. Your job is to help define the benchmark for care in one of the best clinics and places to work on earth. No pressure :)
You're a great fit if:
* Someone would describe you as proactive, detail-oriented, timely, organized, productive, analytical… and still a people person! Bonus points if you can move things with your mind!
* You have a growth mindset; you never stop learning, and you're constantly looking for ways to advance yourself, your career, and your team
* You want to work for a company that has a big vision and ambitious plans for growth, and you want to be a part of helping achieve that growth
* You want to make a difference in the world, have an impact on people's lives, and change the future of animal healthcare for the better
* You love working in teams and find that you're able to relate to people of all types (yes, people are gross, but you didn't choose vet med because you love animals and hate people)
* You're willing to “get your hands dirty;” no task is beneath you, you're entrepreneurial and a servant leader
* You provide energy to the people you're around because you're generally a happy, positive, optimistic person (after interacting with you, people feel energized vs. drained)
* You are a licensed RVT, CVT, or LVT or are eligible for licensure in the state of NC
* You read our core values (below) and they overlap with your personal values
We believe in:
* Excellence in medicine and the highest reasonable standards of care
* Providing our teams the resources to be happy and successful
* That every pet deserves to live its best life (Except for that one chihuahua… jk)
* 3-day workweeks
* Going home on time
* No abusive noncompetes
* Building a supportive team that you want to hang out with even on your days off (but we'll never make you)
* Treating people like we want to be treated
* Compensation and benefits that help people live well
* Working hard and pursuing excellence while still having fun
Compensation & Benefits:
* Competitive pay
* Comprehensive health insurance
* Short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance
* A generous CE stipend
* 401K
* Payment of all professional dues/licenses
* Commitment to professional and personal development through mentorship
* Pet care discounts and scrubs
* No boarding, grooming, emergencies, or on-call!
Our Values Statements:
* Dare to Care - Doing what is easy isn't always right. Doing what is right isn't always easy. So we show up. We give a sh!t. Even when clients don't deserve our best, even when a conversation is uncomfortable, we approach situations with courage, empathy, and authenticity. “We care enough to have tough conversations and we handle tough conversations with care.”
* The Details Matter - Our standards are reflected in every detail, and those details matter. The client will never forget the hug you gave when they said goodbye to their best friend. That blanket may mean the difference between an hour of comfort for a pet versus an hour of fear. The smell or sight of a dirty rug may mean the difference between a great first impression versus skepticism about our entire team.
* Truss One Another - To be accountable to the success of the team means we're accountable to the success of each other. We have our teammates' backs. We catch each other's mistakes. We challenge each other to improve and be the best versions of ourselves.
* Bowl Half Full - Your dog doesn't go through life believing his bowl is half-empty. We see the good in others and in each other, we see opportunities in challenges, we meet discomfort with good humor, and when we find closed doors, we kick them open or make new ones.
If you've made it this far, you've passed your first test, and we can't wait to meet you! For more information, check us out at *****************
