    All aspects of Reference Lab functions within the Prime Care Laboratory; Phlebotomy duties on between various GGC satellite locations but only on rare occasion if necessary. Key Responsibilities: Performs phlebotomy procedures with high focus on attention to detail; properly identifying the patient prior to obtaining the specimen and accurate labeling of the specimen. Performs EKGs as well as assistance with other laboratory functions. Releasing orders from LIS on patients. Maintains the necessary precautions to follow bloodborne pathogen guidelines. Entering orders on patients in the LIS. Monitors and reports equipment functionality to appropriate personnel. May assist in orienting new employees or students regarding functions of the department. May involve some Medical Assisting duties. On occasion, may involve assisting satellite laboratory locations. Other duties as necessary or assigned Qualifications: May have 1 or more years of college or vocational or technical school training without a degree or certification AMT, ASCP, NCA or similar certification in phlebotomy helpful but not required. Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal relations and effective communication skills Must be willing to travel between satellite locations with reliable transportation. Experience in phlebotomy is highly preferred. Customer service experience highly preferred. Education: High School diploma or GED required. Certified Nursing Assistant experience helpful but not required.
