    Job Description Cache County is looking for an Animal Care Specialist to help in our Animal Shelter. The Animal Care Specialist will perform a combination of customer service and animal care duties. This is a part-time position working up to 30 hours a week. RESPONSIBILITIES Animal Care Specialist duties include providing information and assisting members of the public. As the Animal Care Specialist, you will also maintain accurate records of all animals that come in or out of the shelter, contact owners, answer phone calls and emails, and collect and process required fees. The Animal Care Specialist will also provide care to the animals, including bathing and general grooming, feeding and watering, cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, food bowls, and litterboxes, and monitoring the overall health and well-being of animals in the shelter's care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The ideal Animal Care Specialist will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and animal handling and husbandry experience. The Animal Care Specialist will have knowledge of the basic principles and practices of animal handling, care, and treatment; general office procedures and methods, basic cash handling, fund reconciliations, and deposit procedures.
