What You'll Do:
Set the bar for providing high-level, proficient veterinary medical care.
Use integrated technology to deliver consistent and appropriate medical care.
Patient care (blood transfusion, oxygen cage, cardiac monitoring); dentistry; wound care; catheter placement; anesthesia monitoring (unstable, high-risk patients); and performing functions that require handling animal bodily fluids and tissues.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards of Care (SOC)
Be a PIMS administrative super-user and aid others in their use of the technology.
Act responsibly given the pharmacy holdings of the practice and keep controlled substance logs.
Clean workspaces after every patient or patient lab sample interaction.
Any other responsibilities as deemed vital within the scope of role.
What You'll Need:
5+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in practice is preferred.
Ability to excel in a collaborative team environment
Strong ability to connect with clients and demonstrate compassion.
Excellent verbal / written communication, observational, and analytical skills.
Comfortable in a fast paced, self-starter environment.
Successful completion of an accredited veterinary technology program and current licensure is preferred.
Physical Job Requirements:
Standing or walking up to 80% per shift.
Frequently lift up to 50 to 70 pounds using an optional team lift and occasionally lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.
Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.

Perform and oversee laboratory diagnostics and analysis, including blood draws, urinalysis, x-rays, blood typing, blood smears, fecals, ear/skin cytology, Gram stains, fungal cultures and related laboratory analyses-to gather critical information aiding in patient diagnosis.
Maintain oversight of anesthetic safety standards, patient monitoring protocols, and pain management plans.

Client Care & Communication
