Key Responsibilities:
Client Communication: Provide status updates for hospitalized patients, home care instructions, pre- and post-op instructions, and medication administration guidance. Address client medical questions with confidence and direct complex inquiries to veterinarians.
Client Education & Support: Educate clients on preventative medicine, wellness care by age, vaccine requirements, laboratory procedures, and support hospital financial policies by preparing estimates and discussing financial commitments.
Customer Service: Greet clients, escort them and their pets into exam rooms, ensure smooth transitions to the front desk, and promote the practice's products, programs, and services.
Animal Handling & Care: Restrain animals safely and compassionately, assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures, prepare patients for surgery, administer anesthesia, monitor patients during surgery and recovery, and administer fluids.
Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Properly care for all surgical materials, maintain hospital equipment and inventory, and ensure the surgery room, ICU area, exam rooms, and treatment areas are prepared and maintained.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using a paperless medical record system, ensuring all procedures, vaccinations, and notes are documented for proper billing.
Pharmacy Assistance: Assist with dispensing medications as directed by the veterinarian, prepare prescription labels, and appropriately package medication.
Safety & Technical Skills: Follow DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines; administer SQ, IM, and IV injections; perform laboratory tests, radiographs, and electrocardiograms; place IV catheters; perform emergency treatments such as bleeding control and external cardiac massage.
Qualifications:
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

We are available for our patients from 7:00am - 7:00pm Monday - Friday, and 8:00am - 5:00pm on the weekends.
We are a "paper light" practice, and we are very digitally connected to our clients.

Who we are looking for:
A technician or nurse who has previous experience in the veterinary field, and excels in patient care and client communication.

Someone with basic computer literacy to enter patient records and to keep in touch with our clients through all available channels.
A person who has the physical strength and ability to lift and carry a pet or other object weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. You should also be able to assist in lifting or carrying a patient or object weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
A technician or nurse who is able to triage patients and recognize medical problems quickly. In addition, you should be a detail-oriented person who is able to make good decisions, and respond quickly and calmly to crisis while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
A person who is available at least 32 hours a week, with availability including some evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Part-time hours may be available depending on availablity.
A technician or nurse who is proficient in vaccine protocol, animal restraint, radiography, venipuncture, and the use of IV fluids pumps.
A person who has the willingness to be a team player and is open to learning new things to advance their knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

In this role, you will:
Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery during surgical and dental procedures
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records to support excellent patient care
Support efficient exam room workflow, including outpatient care, patient handling, and appointment preparation
Communicate confidently with clients by checking in appointments, reviewing treatment plans, providing discharge instructions, and answering questions with empathy and clarity
Anticipate the needs of your team to help maintain an efficient schedule while upholding the highest standards of patient care
This position is ideal for Veterinary Technicians who enjoy client interaction, value teamwork, and take pride in supporting exceptional patient outcomes in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Schedule:
This is a flexible, full-time position with a 5/8 schedule
Availability needed Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays
Saturday hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Full-Time Benefits & Compensation **
Compensation: $19-$23 per hour (based on experience)*
Bonus Package: $500 bonus for candidates with 3+ years of consecutive, current veterinary technician experience
