Schedule
This is a full-time position (35-40 hours per week).
We're open Monday through Friday and every other Saturday.

What You'll Do
As a key member of our medical team, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting veterinarians during exams and procedures, ensuring safe and effective animal restraint
* Performing pre-physical tasks (weights, temperatures, histories, reason for visit)
* Administering prescribed medications, vaccines, treatments, and assisting with dental cleanings
* Monitoring anesthesia and patient vitals following established safety protocols
* Obtaining and positioning radiographs
* Monitoring surgical patients during recovery
* Running in-house lab tests (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal analysis)
* Providing emergency first aid and life-saving support when needed
* Preparing and labeling samples for laboratory testing
* Maintaining and sterilizing equipment and instruments
* Preparing patients for surgery, including IV catheter placement and clipping
* Filling prescriptions and accurately labeling medications
* Keeping exam rooms and treatment areas clean and organized
* Collaborating with veterinarians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and client communication

Job Description
The Technician Trainer will partner with Regional Managers and Directors to implement the organizational education and training strategy for Alliance Animal Health Practices. Acts as a role model for high standards of practice coaches to resolve practice issues and foster professional growth and enhance staff knowledge and skills. Working alongside Practice Managers and Technicians to develop support staff, through hands-on training and practical applications to maximize practice potential.
While this position is considered remote, you would need to live within 40 minutes of a major airport, as 50% - 70% travel is required to visit hospitals in the Southeast. A valid LVT/CVT/RVT is required for this role.
In this role, you should be passionate about helping people learn and grow (and having a love for pets helps as well.) Experience with facilitation, public speaking, creating, and designing education programs, e-learning courses and adhering to budgets are important for the role. Program execution, collaboration, and excellent communication skills are essential. travel is required
Responsibilities:
Utilize your experience and professional skills to present an engaging and compelling learning experience
Apply knowledge of learning technologies to address specific learning needs

Job Description
This is a working supervisory position responsible for the leadership of the ER technician and assistant medical team under the mentorship of the Practice Manager.
While previous leadership experience is not required, it is preferred.
This person will be responsible for:
Directing on-the-job training to develop employee skills
Advising employees of performance requirements and their progress in meeting those requirements
Discussing corrective measures to improve performance and prepare appraisals
Providing direction for efficient work flow
Assisting with onboarding newly hired staff members
Assisting with creating staff schedules and adjusting coverage where needed.
The other portion of this job includes working on the floor with the team completing veterinary technician duties, which includes (but is not limited to): animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Qualifications
We're Looking For:
A Registered Veterinary Technician with 3+ years veterinary experience preferred, non-licensed individuals with 5+ years experience and previous leadership experience will be considered.
Previous urgent care or ER experience is preferred but not required.
Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
A team player that works well with all team members to ensure that their actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy.
Has the ability to direct, guide, and assist a group of individuals, as well as a desire to teach others to create a well-rounded team.
Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures and hospital operations
Knowledge of spelling and meaning of commonly used veterinary terminology (e.g., terms of anatomy, physiology, diseases, tests, etc.) to accurately enter specific information into patient records.
Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques.
Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens.
Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture.
Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring.
A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one's knowledge and skillset.
Ability to show unbiased judgment when managing people and make fair and just recommendations regarding personnel issues and/or disciplinary action.
Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional manner to maintain hospital efficiency.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely.
A high work ethic and positive attitude team member.
