Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program. * Current state veterinary technician license in good standing. * One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred. * Proficiency in a range of technical skills including laboratory procedures, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental care, and nursing. * Ability to administer subcutaneous (SQ), intramuscular (IM), and intravenous (IV) injections. * Knowledge of commonly used veterinary medications including dosage, side effects, and client communication. * Understanding of anesthesia and patient recovery monitoring, with the ability to recognize and report changes in patient status. * Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful or fast-paced environments, including medical emergencies. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Comfort and confidence in handling animals of all sizes and temperaments. In this role, you will: Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
