Skills and Experience:
* Some formal education from an AVMA accredited veterinary technician certification program preferred but not required.
* A minimum of two years' working experience in veterinary medicine setting or equivalent work experience in an animal welfare or nonprofit setting. Prior experience assisting in surgeries and comfortability with intubating dogs and/or cats is required.
* Ability to work with, leash, kennel, walk, and handle cats and dogs, including those with health and/or behavior conditions/concerns; basic ability to identify and speak to medical and behavioral characteristics of dogs and cats.
* Customer-centric, non-judgmental approach to engaging with adopters, partners, visitors, volunteers, and colleagues; familiarity and comfort with a conversational adoption process.
* Bilingual or multi-lingual skills are preferred but not required.

Position Overview
As an Operations Specialist in Animal Care, your role will be to ensure that proper animal care and husbandry is being provided for all companion animals and aquatic life in the Pet Care Center (PCC). Basic Qualifications
Minimum of one year of experience working with and/or caring for companion animals and aquatic life is required for this position. Certification

Education/Skills

Supervisory Responsibility

The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, although guest carryouts and veterinary visits will require that a partner leave the PCC briefly.
