Position Purpose This position will be responsible for overseeing a wide variety of team members and processes that all address some aspect of risk to the Credit Union. These areas include compliance and regulation including oversight and implementation, vendor management, legal risks, fraud and quality assurance reviews of new loan and account openings, as well as monitoring the integrity of member data change process. Essential Duties Develops and manages Enterprise Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks. Maintains oversight of vendor management program Collaborate with Chief Financial Officer to create and implement 5-year "legal" strategic plan. Review, revise, and collaborate with team members in-order to negotiate contracts and/or other corporate policies and governance documents as requested by Chief Financial Officer Perform research and provides legal advice in support of compliance initiatives, regulatory compliance matters, BSA/AML, and/or other legal guidance impacting the organization and requested by the Chief Financial Officer. Assesses the risk potential of controls, activities, policies, and procedures, and aids in developing new practices and procedures to mitigate undue risk and loss to the credit union. Participate in the perpetual development and oversight of policies, principles and standards Ensure annual team member training in regulatory requirements is conducted Serve as BSA Officer and responsible for oversight of program throughout the enterprise Administer Fair Lending program including SAFE Act and FCRA Displays teamwork, integrity, and leadership Review business processes and procedures for adherence to defined risk appetite.
