The Regional VP of the Americas is the leader of the CPS business within that market, responsible for all of the operational day to day aspects of sales (in conjunction with the sales organization), delivery, quality and team management as well as assisting in the development of the broader strategy for CPS. The RVP has accountability for revenue and gross margin targets in AMS as a subset of the broader CPS business.
The RVP is a trusted advisor to clients, a project leader for key engagements, a people manager and leader of the regional CPS team, a salesperson for high value and strategic opportunities, and a mentor to those within their team.
CPS delivers Cyber Advisory (incorporating strategy, governance, risk, architecture and compliance services), Penetration Testing (incorporating vulnerability assessment, bespoke and platform based testing, and red team services), and Digital Forensics & Incident Response (incorporating pro-active and re-active services).
RVPs primarily operate within their region, but you won't be operating in isolation. It is more important that we hit our global target, than any individual regional target. All decisions should be made in that context, and you will supported by - and be expected to support - all other RVPs in achieving that end.
Responsibilities
Business Development
Building relationships with new and existing customers with particular focus on working through your Managing Consultants and Lead Security Principals, although some customer relationships will also be held directly Bring a strong network of contacts in the industry and the ability to progress opportunities from lead to close Build awareness of the Trustwave brand through industry networks and presentations Collaborate with the Trustwave sales team in order to identify opportunities, drive order intake and grow our presence within your region
Engagement Management
With the Managing Consultants and Lead Security Principals, total responsibility for the management of Trustwave CPS customers in your region Oversight and accountability for management of projects in your region and your team's delivery Act as an escalation for resolution of complex client problems Delivery of consulting tasks at a strategic level - defining and solving complex untested problems Direct management of a range of projects in your area of expertise or for clients where you are the relationship manager Juggling and management of conflicting requirements and priorities reflecting the need for Trustwave to navigate the client's business environment to deliver the right outcome every time and on time
Team Management & Mentoring
Day-to-day management of your team including a regular cadence of 1 on 1s with your direct reports Induction, performance management and recruitment Longer-term team skills development and mentoring Creating and supporting a healthy team culture
Quality Assurance
You will be responsible for working with other members of the Leadership Team to enhance and improve our QA approach for consistent quality of deliverables Review and approve high-sensitivity and/or high-value deliverables and proposals prior to client delivery Ultimately you will be accountable for the quality of all project deliverables for your region Ensure quality processes are adhered to consistently and that a high degree of client satisfaction is monitored and maintained
Vice President Skills and Qualifications
A great candidate for the RVP AMS role will have the following attributes:
Current (or very recent) role involves running and/or building a cyber security consulting practice Team size of 50+ preferred with 8-figure annual revenue. Experience with both a direct sales model (ie consultants selling their services) and enabling a sales team model (ie sales execs selling consulting) Experience with most/all aspects of recruiting a team, training the team, retaining the team Experience with up-sell/cross-sell Demonstrable knowledge of both Advisory/Strategy and Technical/Testing and experience working with both groups of consultants Have presented at conferences in the last few years, or have a credible blog, or a podcast, or something else that demonstrates they (a) have original thoughts; (b) communicate well; (c) recognize the importance of being active in the industry; and (d) relish the chance to be an ambassador for the company Some collection of cybersecurity certs (CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CCSK, GIAC certs etc)
