This role reports into the SVP, Strategy, while collaborating across our matrixed team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

What you will be doing:

Own and drive our overall success in the Student market, including:

  • Develop and own revenue targets; actively collaborate on bookings, backlog, churn and penetration across the student market with Sales and Customer Success
  • Formulate go to market strategy including pricing and packaging with Marketing and Pricing
  • Build competitive & market intelligence around products, reputation, pricing and market dynamics
  • Partnering with Product General Managers, determine market priorities, build the product roadmap, write user stories and build investment cases
  • Work with sales and product teams to analyze competitors; determine brand perceptions; evaluate market penetration; understand customer needs
  • Develop and grow executive relationships with key customers
  • Be the thought leader in the industry, drive big deals and ensure successful customer outcomes
  • Partner with other business unit leaders and the executive team to drive broader RealPage value proposition in a matrixed organization
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

What we think it takes to get the job:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems or a related field
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • 10 years or more of progressive Product Management, Marketing, and General Management leadership experience, with a track record of success in building strategic plans and developing teams to support execution in large commercial organizations
  • Student property management SaaS experience including familiarity with trends in property management software and services a plus
  • Prefer private and public company experience in companies with track record of high growth and successful business transformation experience
  • Demonstrated leadership in a matrixed organization; effective in building team capability, attracting and developing talent, driving effectiveness, discipline and standard work, building effective teams and bench strength
  • Drive for Excellence - proven capability to influence and drive cross-functional teams to successful execution of plans; ensures accountability, motivates people, and maximizes impact/results

What you will do:

  • Have regular communication and meetings with team members and clients while building enduring relationships with them.
  • Be responsible for the multimillion-dollar P&L of the three branches, expediting contracts and billing, and hiring, training and inspiring and developing branch leaders and staff.
  • Be accountable for the efficiency of client work and increasing market share for the branches.
  • Be responsible for overall management responsibility for the landscape construction branches.
  • Establish goals, priorities and objectives for business development and operations teams and lead the execution of such.
  • Lead business development, focusing on selling the full cycle that BrightView offers.
  • Collaborate with the HR function on people attraction, development, and retention.
  • Support hiring, on-boarding and mentoring of new team members.
  • Develop long and short-term strategic business planning for your branch.
  • Lead by example as teams strive for 100% highly satisfied customers. Identify ways to provide more value to the customer
  • In collaboration with your branch management teams, review estimates, bids, proposals, and contracts.
  • Working with the branch operations team, ensure work is executed with the highest quality and that budgets are met, and margins are exceeded.
  • Always learning while teaching others to do the same.



Skills we are seeking:

  • Minimum of 10 years construction industry experience and no less than 5 years successfully managing the P&L.
  • A proven track record demonstrating your ability to build strong relationships with general contractors, and other clients, resulting in strong business performance.
  • Beyond your managerial capacity, you must demonstrate skills in project and time management, team motivation, decision making and technology (MS Office and costing/estimating packages).
  • You will have a four-year degree in landscape architecture, civil engineering, construction science, construction management, horticulture/other related field, or related expertise.
  • A working knowledge of business accounting and P&L statements is required, plus broad knowledge of horticulture, landscaping equipment and managing a fleet of company vehicles.
  • Experience growing a branch / business is preferred.
  • Demonstrated people development and performance management skills.
  • Familiarity of construction and production techniques for a self-performing contractor.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
