Prior to this role, he served as Chief Financial Officer, GPP. Earlier, he served as Director of Investor Relations, and before this role was Director of Corporate Treasury. Roy joined Alcoa in 2002 as a business analyst for GPP in Knoxville, Tennessee. While there, he worked with the global casthouse system to develop performance measurement systems and drive casthouse profitability. He later moved to Brazil as casthouse manager in the São Luis smelter and then as the plant controller. In 2007, he became plant manager for the San Ciprián smelter in Spain, and a year later he was named Director of Finance and Business Integration for GPP Europe. Before coming to Alcoa, Roy was Corporate Manager of Environmental Affairs at Greenstone Resources Ltd., a gold mining company based in Central America. Roy graduated with honors from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, simultaneously earning master’s degrees in International Business and Corporate Finance as a fellow of the Lauder Institute International MBA program, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from Columbia University. In 2008, Roy was named to the prestigious Young Global Leaders Program of the World Economic Forum.
