We receive thousands of clinical samples every day from Veterinary Clinics, and we run tests on those samples to help veterinarians identify what might be wrong with someone's pet. As a Sample Management Technician, also referred to as a Specimen Processor or Specimen Accessioner; you'd be helping to sort, tag, and prepare the samples for testing. The samples that we work with are blood, urine, fecal samples, and biopsies that we receive from the vet clinics (no animals on-site!) The Laboratory Assistant processes outpatient test requests. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will: * Perform venous and capillary collection of blood specimens for analysis and process specimens for analysis and reference testing. With supervision, may perform waived and moderately complex testing. May perform chain-of-custody drug collections and perform various other support services for the laboratory as assigned. Maintain required documentation to comply with accrediting agencies. * Perform duties consistent with written procedures and regulatory requirements. * Support the department in achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities.
