These professionals calibrate and set up radiation therapy equipment and position patients to ensure accurate treatments and pinpoint radiation doses to tumor areas, minimizing exposure to normal and critical surrounding structures. This work must be performed with the highest level of accuracy to achieve the expected treatment outcome.
The Radiation Therapists are accountable for maintaining daily quality assurance measures on the linear accelerators and other departmental equipment.
In addition, the Radiation Therapists instruct radiation therapy students, medical physics graduate students, medical residents, and other healthcare providers on the operation of radiation therapy machines and explain and demonstrate specific procedures and techniques; and provide assistance on cancer research projects.
Minimum Requirements
* Current RT (R) (T) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology
* American Heart Association BLS Certification
* Associate Degree or higher
* 10+ years of related experience
* Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by the Council of Allied Health Education and
Accreditation and certification eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy
Technology.

The Imaging Informatics Assistant is responsible for assisting the Radiologists and clinical staff in the day-to-day operations relating to the acquisition, storage, routing, and retrieval of clinical images and results. Maintains knowledge of software applications, downtime procedures, image routing, storage, and retrieval as well as facilitating communication to providers, clinical staff and other customers. Monitors PACS, EHR, and PowerShare work lists and assists Radiologists and clinical staff as needed.
Minimum Requirements
* High school graduate or equivalent (GED) or higher degree required.
* One year of relevant customer service or health care experience required.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills; advanced problem-solving skills
* Professional phone skills and experience

The CT Technologist will perform Computed Tomography (CT) and CT guided interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician; provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations.

The Radiation Therapists are accountable for maintaining daily quality assurance measures on the linear accelerators and other departmental equipment.
