Seat Description:
Loudr is searching for a talented and experienced VideoEditor to join our team. The VideoEditor will be responsible for editing and post-production tasks to create compelling and engaging video content that aligns with our clients' objectives and creative vision.
Key responsibilities include performing video editing tasks, applying advanced color correction and visual effects, managing media assets, coordinating with team members, conducting quality control checks, and providing mentorship to junior editors. The ideal candidate possesses strong editing skills, proficiency in video editing software, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities:
Report to the Video Production Manager
Video & Post-Production Editing (brand visuals, voice, & narrative)
Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and contribution to continuity
Perform advanced-level video editing tasks, including cutting, trimming, and sequencing footage to create a coherent narrative
Apply advanced color-correction and/or color grading, audio enhancements, and visual effects to enhance the overall quality of the video
Ensure that the final edit aligns with the creative vision and objectives established by the task owner, including but not limited to: Video Production Manager, Senior VideoEditor, Producer, Campaign Manager, and/or the Associate Creative Director
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines effectively
Communicate project status and updates to relevant stakeholders, including the Producer, and Video Production Manager
Project-Based Logging, Media Management, Rendering, Exporting & Delivery
Project based logging and organization of video footage and other media assets for efficient retrieval and management
Render and export edited videos in various formats suitable for different platforms and distribution channels
Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of final video assets to clients or stakeholders
Advanced Color Grading and Visual FX
Perform advanced color grading and correction to achieve the desired look and mood for the video
Enhance visual consistency and coherence by adjusting color tones, contrast, and saturation
Ensure that colors accurately represent brand identity and convey the intended emotional impact
Utilize advanced visual effects (VFX), transitions, motion graphics, and titles to enhance visual appeal and storytelling
Incorporate creative elements that elevate the production value and captivate the audience's attention
Quality Control & Review
Conduct quality control checks on edited videos to ensure technical accuracy, visual consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines and project objectives
Review edits with the Senior VideoEditor and Producer to solicit feedback and make necessary revisions
Ensure that all video deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards set by the agency
Collaborate with producers and directors to ensure that edits effectively communicate the intended message and achieve the desired impact
Receive guidance and feedback from senior team members to refine and improve editing techniques
Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to apply innovative visual effects and motion graphics
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
Provide guidance and mentorship to the Assembly VideoEditor to support their growth and development
Supervise the assembly editing process, reviewing initial edits and providing direction to ensure consistency and coherence
Collaborate with the Assembly VideoEditor to delegate tasks and coordinate workflows effectively
Coordinate with other team members, including producers, designers, and copywriters, to ensure seamless integration of video content into broader campaigns
Collaborate closely with the Senior VideoEditor and Producer to understand project requirements and objectives
Required Skills & Qualifications:
3 years of experience in video editing (this is not a junior position).
Bachelor's degree in film or video production or a related field is preferred.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in storytelling, motion graphics design, animation and video production. 3D animation and graphic design work is a plus.
Proficient in video editing and motion graphics software such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, and Cinema 4D.
Advanced knowledge of graphic design principles and experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is preferred.
Strong knowledge of video production equipment and the pre-production process
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

The AMFS Summer Staff Videographer captures the essential events and experiences of the eight-week summer season and creates videos that showcase the spirit of the festival. Assignments include but are not limited to concerts, operas, family events, panels, parties/galas, lessons, rehearsals, venues, landscapes, student lifestyle, and interviews with guest artists, artist-faculty, and/or students. Videographer will produce professional segments for use on AMFS social media channels, website, and for various other institutional needs. Schedule flexibility is essential; evenings and weekends are regular. Position is an independent contractor and the AMFS has full rights to all videos and video clips taken during this time frame.
Responsibilities
Capture and edit videos for social media campaigns (approx. 2-3 assignments/week), including but not limited to student and guest artist features, creative, storytelling videos, day in the life videos, etc.
Take video clips of the Festival events, performances, and people as assigned. Must have day-of turnaround of select clips for social media use and next-day turnaround for longer edits.
Capture, edit, and compile solo, orchestral, and other performance video clips throughout the 8-week festival for year-round use on social media (approximately 5 assignments/week).
Other video project institutional needs such as highlighting student programs, donor events, livestream content, etc., as assigned.
Take videos of Festival events and people proactively at unassigned events (students busking in downtown Aspen, etc.)
Assist other video shoots as assigned.
Shooting approx. 5 days/week, 1-2 events/assignments day. Some weeks may be lighter and some heavier.
Social media intern will be available to assist for larger projects as needed.
Requirements
Must have and bring high-quality equipment capable of capturing professional footage, microphone, computer, and software appropriate for video processing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as reporter at local news location when no reporter is assigned. Gathers information, takes notes as necessary or ensures that basic information is on tape and relayed to the newscast producer.
Looks for and takes opportunities to capture compelling pictures and communicates with producers and reporters to make sure that the best pictures are taken and then used in telling stories.
Wear station logo shirts, drive station logo vehicles and must represent the station in a positive manner to viewers. This includes responsible and polite driving habits, professional appearance, and professional behavior “in the field” where news is gathered.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
3 years of experience in video editing (this is not a junior position).
Bachelor's degree in film or video production or a related field is preferred.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in storytelling, motion graphics design, animation and video production. 3D animation and graphic design work is a plus.
Proficient in video editing and motion graphics software such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, and Cinema 4D.
Advanced knowledge of graphic design principles and experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is preferred.
Strong knowledge of video production equipment and the pre-production process
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
