CNN Weather is seeking a video producer to write, produce, shoot and edit videos for all digital platforms, including apps, social media and web. **Job Description**
As an AI Video Production Intern, you will assist in editing, localizing, and enhancing product and marketing videos for global audiences. A key part of your role will be leveraging AI tools to translate and adapt English-language videos into Spanish and French, including localized motion graphics, text overlays, and voiceovers. You'll work directly with our in-house video team to apply your skills in motion design, editing, and AI-assisted workflows to create engaging, high-quality content that aligns with the Diablo brand.

+ Assist in editing and localizing existing video content using AI tools for translation and dubbing (English → Spanish/French).
+ Update and animate on-screen text, graphics, and motion elements in multiple languages.
+ Edit and mix audio for translated voiceovers to ensure high-quality, natural delivery.
+ Work with the team to maintain consistency in brand voice, design, and tone across all localized content.
+ Utilize **Adobe After Effects** , **Premiere Pro** , **Illustrator** , and **Photoshop** for video and graphic production.
+ Support the creation of short-form and long-form marketing videos, product demos, and motion graphics.
+ Collaborate with the Multimedia Manager and marketing team to brainstorm creative solutions for video adaptation and enhancement.
+ Stay current with the latest AI tools and trends that improve video production efficiency and creativity.
**_This full-time internship (40-hours/week) will be based onsite out of our Atlanta office from May 26-July 30, 2026. This role_** **_is not_** **_remote._**
**Qualifications**
+ Current university student in good standing (min. 3.0 GPA); pursuing a Bachelor's (upcoming or current Senior year student), Master's, or Doctorate degree in **Motion Design, Film/Video Production, or a related field.**
+ Able and willing to work on-site.
+ Proficient in **Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.**
+ Understanding of **video editing, animation, and audio mixing** fundamentals.
+ Familiarity with **AI tools** for video, voiceover, or translation workflows.
+ Strong attention to detail and an eye for motion, timing, and typography.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
+ Eagerness to learn, experiment, and grow within an evolving creative landscape.
+ Experience or interest in **multilingual content** or **localization** is a plus.

Your New Role…
CNN Weather is seeking a video producer to write, produce, shoot and edit videos for all digital platforms, including apps, social media and web. This person will join one of CNN's most innovative multi-platform teams and work directly with meteorologists and climate experts on forecasts and extreme weather events, including hurricanes, blizzards, tornado outbreaks and geomagnetic storms. This is an evening and weekend position.
This role will pitch ideas for videos on demand, then do the reporting, script writing, element gathering, shooting and editing to bring that pitch to life. This person will also play a key role in producing CNN Weather's live events on mobile platforms.
The ideal candidate understands how to differentiate video for a mobile audience. This person is fascinated by the natural world, thrives in a fast-paced news environment and has their finger on the pulse of emerging trends. The candidate embodies the CNN Climate & Weather team's ethos - we are looking for a self-motivated, team-oriented collaborator who takes pride in their work, values diversity and elevates their colleagues.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Work with weather and climate experts to research, report, script and shoot video and edit for digital platforms
Produce live video coverage for mobile platforms during extreme weather events
Monitor video sources for news, assets and viral moments
Regularly generate video pitches for news, features and series
Experimenting with new formats and trying new trends
Help inform and guide the team's approach to videos in both the VOD and live space
Turn in clean, accurate scripts on first draft
Qualifications & Experience…
4+ years of working in digital-first, vertical video
Experience producing live digital video
A collaborative, team-oriented attitude
Strong knowledge of current industry-standard video equipment
Expertise in post-production software such as Adobe Premiere
Track record of collaborating and turning video quickly in a deadline-driven environment
Experience reporting and fact-checking stories and identifying characters
Understanding of news values, a love for journalism and a passion for extreme weather
Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work holidays, weekends, overnights and extended hours as the news cycle and deadlines require
Foreign language skills a plus

The Work:
The Creative Services Editor/Producer position focuses on craft editing, specifically in the creation of daily content for next-generation products with an eye towards identifying direct-to-consumer, paid experiences. The position will provide editing support across all CNN platforms. Assignments include graphic creation for show opens and packages, various forms of content for special programming, as well as traditional news elements. The Creative Services Editor/Producer incorporates a visually compelling approach to editing and producing while adhering to defined editorial and journalistic standards. The position requires proficiency in After Effects, graphic creation skills, color correction, and basic audio sweetening.

The Creative Services Editor/Producer fulfills these responsibilities by utilizing demonstrable technical, editorial, and creative expertise in editing, producing, design and compositing skills, and visual effects. Assignments will be completed under news production deadlines, requiring flexibility with schedule/working hours.
The Essentials:
Established working experience in a professional news or sports environment.
Demonstrated technical and creative expertise in editing and producing, including but not limited to the Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on After Effects and visual effects plug-ins such as Sapphire, Boris, Red Giant, and others.
Must have thorough understanding of video production workflow, and proficiency in file-based production environments.
Proven editorial judgment and knowledge of editorial functions such as story pitching, field production, shot selection, scripting, as well as managing and adapting to the continually developing technologies driving the industry.
Expected to continue skill development on existing production platforms and training in the proficient use of emerging technology.
Collaborative with partners and peers on production projects and responsibilities such as attending show meetings, contributing to story generation, script enhancements and video research.
Must be agile and adaptable in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
