Texas Athletics Baseball is looking for passionate and service- oriented student managers to serve with the Baseball program beginning in August 2025. Designed for students interested in a career in intercollegiate athletics, student interns will assist in the daily operations that support the programs while continuing to expand their knowledge of the sport and industry. Interns will report to the Analytics Staff and Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
Support the Baseball staff with the daily operations of practice and games, including set up and breakdown within the facility and on-field activities
Coordinate, organize and prepare equipment for safe transporting to and from away games and events
Assist with the assembling of scouting reports
A high attention to detail to ensure game and practice equipment properly functions and adheres to safety standards
Maintain the organization and inventory of video equipment
Observe and perform administrative duties during practice, such as tracking statistics or operating the game clock
Assist in clipping and storing of practice videos.

Branding Iron Assistant Editor-in-Chief
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide editing, proofing and page design supervision of newspaper copy before publication
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Edit all copy prepared for composition.
Design and paginate pages for newspaper.
Proof all copy after composition.
Supervise and direct copy editors in the completion of the first three duties.
Meet daily with editor for consultation and assignment.
Maintain regular office hours of not less than 15 hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Full-time student
Minimum 2.5 GPA
Newspaper experience, including writing news stories.
Must be available to start work Aug. 18, 2025
Must be available for publication deadlines on Sundays and Wednesday nights.
Must be available Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for training.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Some supervisory experience.
