RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Install and configure Satellite receivers, Encoders, Transcoders, Ad splicers.

2. Monitor IPTV services and linear channels for Audio/Video quality Analyze real-time and historic data from monitoring systems to proactively address issues.

3. Actively monitor and support Headend Infrastructure and equipment including but not limited to Satellite receivers, encoders/transcoders, and Ad Splicers.

4. Proficient in Linux operating system and scripting.

5. Efficiently coordinate with NOC and other engineering teams towards resolving technical issues and towards conducting scheduled maintenances.

6. Installation, wiring, labeling and configuration of equipment.

7. Open to nights and weekends shifts and overtime hours when required.

What You Need to Bring

requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· 1-2 years' experience in an IPTV Headend or Data center

· Understanding and hands-on experience with Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) encoding and delivery, namely HLS (DASH is an advantage)

· Wiring and wire management skills mainly copper, CAT5/CAT6, Coaxial.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills.

· Understanding of TCP and IP addressing.

· Self-motivated with strong desire to learn new technologies

· Excellent Audio/Visual observation skills towards catching impairments and quality issues.

Preferred:

· Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.

· Understanding of IPTV systems and video compression.

· Microsoft Office and Visio Skills

RequirementsA scrappy, entrepreneurial attitude that gets high-quality projects done quickly.Expert in at least one general-purpose programming language. Node.JS (TypeScript), Rust, or C/C++ would be a plus but are not a requirement.Experience with multiple multimedia libraries and frameworks: FFmpeg, GStreamer, libvpx, x264, x265, etc.Knowledge of multiple streaming protocols (RTMP, RTSP, RTP, HLS, WebRTC, DASH, etc.) and codecs (AAC, Opus, H264, H265, VP8, VP9, AV1, etc.).Experience with at least one commonly used media server software: RED5, Wowza, Kurento, etc.Highly proficient in database design, with both relational and NoSQL (Scylla, Redis) databases.Comfortable working with AWS, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, continuous deployment workflow, multiple programming languages tech stack.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-directed, analytical, and work well in a team environment.Passionate about the Restream product.

Job Description The Video Teleconference Specialist role will provide onsite support to a Federal Government client in Washington, DC. This role provides support for audiovisual, Video Teleconferencing (VTC), technology for collaboration, meetings, training, and specialized use meeting rooms.

* Provide recommendations and support for audio-visual integration projects at client facilities for mission critical and high-visibility command center, conference rooms and meeting spaces.

* Provide technical troubleshooting for day to day operations, coordinates vendor repairs, including scheduling with vendors and customers, basic hardware installation and technical system commissioning.

* Implements appropriate controls and quality assurance; ensures adherence to client processes and procedures, consistent and efficient trouble resolution, error reduction, and continuous process improvement.
* Create and maintain VTC documentation
* Demonstrate ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience specifically in audio and video teleconferencing
* 10-15 years experience supporting audio and video teleconferencing
* Certified in VTC/AV and/or IT networking technologies, including CTS (preferred), Crestron hardware (DM, NVX, etc) and programming, Bi-Amt/QSC/Audinate Dante audio Digital Signal processing and Cisco networking
