The role

Havas Production Studios (HPS), located in New York City, is part of the HAVAS Health and You global network of advertising agencies. We produce videos across a broad cross-section of genres and techniques-everything from complex 3D animation to intricate motion graphics to documentary style live action. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Video Producer well versed in the production and post-production process.
The ideal candidate will have energy in abundance, an excellent sense of how to portray diverse storytelling with motion graphics, animation and/or footage, and be able to foster the production of engaging and emotive content with creative flair. In this role, you will be working closely with agency creative and account teams, New Media Buyers, and our editors and producers. You will have a hand in every aspect of video and animation production from inception through completion. You will be responsible for producing individual projects; managing project workflows, budgets and timelines; and coordinating resources and talent. You must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, be comfortable working under pressure, and be extremely organized in delivering high-quality video content.

• Direct video productions and voice-over recording sessions

• Estimate, budget, and track video project costs
• Provide creative and practical input during all production phases
• Have a creative mindset
• The ability to establish priorities while handling multiple projects
• Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Copy Writers

• Maintain quality control to assure that all work meets the highest possible standards

• Project a professional, positive attitude and image, always representing HPS favorably
• Experience as a video or filmmaker and/or a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or other post-production software is a plus, but not required.
• 6+ years experience as a producer

• 5-7 years of directly related work experience, including experience with multi-camera shoots, editing and packaging projects, and production management
• Experience with studio and location lighting and audio production (e.g., MixPre-3 II)
• Strong understanding of shot composition for video
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling
• Strong understanding of video editing software and creative desktop applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced video editing Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Advanced photo editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite
• Working knowledge of Nikon/Canon DSLR, Sony, GoPro
• Experience working within a file-based photo and video environment. Knowledge of data storage devices (memory cards, hard drives, local server, Enterprise Digital Asset Management tools)
• Experience in live internet video production and delivery
• Knowledge of current webcast and social media technology
• Knowledge of video editing programs and audio/video codecs
• Able to prioritize multiple simultaneous projects and complete within deadlines
• Must be a flexible team player who can easily work with peers to be lead for some events and a support on other events
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working/communicating with senior level management
• Ability to calmly work under pressure
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects at one time, to work well under pressure and on short deadlines
• Ability to take feedback and creative criticism professionally, using it to refine projects

**Description**

In this role, you will: - Manage a growing team of Human Interface Design producers focused on video products, services and platforms. - Partner with Design leadership to lead the TV/Video Human Interface Design team. - Act as the main TV/Video Design point-of-contact across the organization. - Drive innovations on the way we work, be responsible for the operational roadmap and rollout of new ways of working. - Manage high-profile, key projects and initiatives with heavy executive visibility and interest. - Maintain oversight of all projects and initiatives the TV/Video Producer & Design teams are working on. - Build and maintain cross-functional relationships and partnerships. - Represent the Design team in annual product and resource planning efforts. - Negotiate priorities given limited resources and an ambitious schedule.
