Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate equipment in a manner that meets our safety, quality and production standards. Setup machines to meet specifications according to the job ticket provided. Refer to the job ticket to locate important information to ensure job accuracy. Run equipment at target productivity metrics to complete jobs on time. Work safely to prevent accidents by keeping the area clean and free of any trip hazards. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Must be able to read and understand a job ticket and adhere to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Mechanically inclined. Familiarity with basic mathematics (decimals, metric units) to understand dimensional requirements contained in the job ticket, and to make more complicated adjustments. Must be able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment and be held accountable for the quality of work produced. Ability to bend, kneel, reach, stand and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. For more information, please visit ****************** The Manufacturing Technician III, (Packaging Mechanic) reports to a Supervisor or Manager on the Manufacturing floor, which supports Packaging operations. The position entails the execution of setup, changeover, repairs, and preventative maintenance for all equipment used in the production processes in various Classified/Non-Classified areas and performs the role of a Packaging Technician as needed. It requires the ability to perform mechanical and electronic troubleshooting in order to ensure optimal equipment performance. The Manufacturing Technician III will also provide basic mechanical training to Packaging Technicians and serve as a resource for the implementation of continuous improvement projects. This role will be on the 2-2-3 A Shift 6am-6:30pm Primary Responsibilities • Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance tasks on various packaging equipment including picker, sorter, labeler, packer, checkweigher, printer, inspection equipment, palletizer, stretch-wrapper and conveyors. Work collaboratively with technical resources to resolve equipment issues as needed. • Act as a first-line technical resource for the team. Provide technical support to production technicians. Resolve equipment-related issues, including equipment start-up, machine recipe selection, recipe format set-up, critical sensor challenge, and production issues. • Proactively monitor equipment and component level conditions, and perform preventative maintenance tasks. Identify and investigate abnormal conditions and potential defects to prevent unplanned equipment downtime. • Perform technician tasks as required including start-up, equipment operation, manual packaging, batch execution, material handling, rework, cleaning, housekeeping and line clearance activities. • Operate light material handling equipment (motorized and manual pallet jacks, non-motorized lifts) as the need arises to safely move, store or deliver material to the proper location. • Monitor material quality of incoming, in-process and finished materials. Promptly escalate concerns to Lead Technician and Process Facilitator as needed. • Perform batch records, GMP documentation, and CMMS entries. Perform mathematical computation as needed. • Be familiar with job-related safety procedures and hazards including PPEs, ergonomics, LOTO, human safety, material handling, chemical handling, and spill controls. Report all discrepancies to process facilitator. • Perform work requirements in a responsible manner, in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs, and established safety and quality procedures. Other Responsibilities • Support lean activities and process improvement work such as performing 5S in the work area, participating in problem-solving, and manual tracking of performance data for OEE and process improvement analysis. Lead Level 0 problem-solving on equipment related issues as needed. • Act as a certified OJT trainer on the team on assigned equipment or process tasks. Train and conduct evaluations on other team members for training qualifications. • Review process documents such as operational SOPs, PM procedures, forms and batch records for accuracy. Report all discrepancies to process facilitator. • Perform work requirements in a responsible manner, in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs and established safety and quality procedures. • Support lean activities and process improvement work such as performing 5S in the work area, participating in problem-solving, and manual tracking of performance data for OEE and process improvement analysis. • Act as a certified OJT trainer on the team on assigned equipment and process tasks. The Manufacturing Technician II operates equipment such as parts washers and autoclave, inspects, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, assembles/disassembles equipment, performs area cleanings in accordance with cleaning schedule, and completes batch record entries. **This a Night Shift position working 6:30pm - 6am. 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off and the rotation starts over again. Responsibilities • Perform the duties of operating assigned machinery consisting of parts washers and autoclaves, etc. • Responsible for assembling, disassembling, wrapping, operating, and rinsing/sanitizing various equipment. • Perform set-up activities including but not limited to cleaning/stocking of area, spraying items through airlock, setting up parts wash and autoclave loads per SOP/Form. • Perform cleaning and housekeeping activities for assigned areas as required to maintain a cGMP environment. • Perform visual inspections of equipment for cleanliness as specified per SOP. Must obtain visual inspection training certification. • Obtain knowledge to be able to print off SOP's/Forms via ECMS. • Perform batch record and GMP documentation entries. Maintain records and/or logs as required to perform job responsibilities. This will include mathematical computation where needed. • Knowledge of product security controls and material handling equipment. • Become aseptically qualified to enter the aseptic core area to unload autoclaves and component processing. • Responsible for outgoing quality level. • Obtain a novice to intermediate level of knowledge of SAP inventory movements and inventory management, such as moving items from one storage location to another and issuing goods to process orders as required. • Responsibly perform work requirements, in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs, and established safety procedures in accordance with OSHA requirements and guidelines. Be familiar with “Material Safety Data Sheets” for area chemicals. • Be familiar with job-related safety procedures and hazards, including PPEs, ergonomics, LOTO, human safety, material handling, waste handling, chemical handling, and spill controls.
