The Vice President of AI & Platform Product Management will lead Avetta's AI strategy and core platform, advancing our mission to enable safe, sustainable, and secure supply chains. Avetta One, our global platform, serves enterprise clients and an extensive supplier/contractor network by delivering compliance, safety, and operational insights. The ideal candidate is a proven product leader with deep expertise in AI/ML, enterprise platforms, and B2B SaaS products. They must be skilled at shaping market-defining solutions, developing high-performing global and offshore teams across multiple time zones, and successfully navigating dynamic ownership environments, including private equity (PE) settings and exits/change-of-control events. This leader owns the vision, strategy, and execution of both AI-driven experiences and the foundational platform (multi-tenant SaaS, data/ML platform, APIs, identity/permissions, governance, globalization/localization, translation, workflow/orchestration, analytics foundations). The VP will partner with Engineering, Customer Journey Product teams, Data Science/ML, UX Design, Security, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to deliver breakthrough AI capabilities, drive scale, and ensure the reliability and extensibility of Avetta One. Strategic themes of responsibility include AI-first product experiences; workflow automation and assistance; audit and evidence evaluation; supplier onboarding/compliance; risk insights; data quality; reliability, scale, and extensibility of the platform. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Define and drive the AI product vision and roadmap across Avetta One, prioritizing initiatives that improve client safety, compliance, and risk outcomes. Lead the platform product strategy, including data/ML infrastructure, APIs/SDKs, workflows, multi-tenant scale, observability, and identity/permissions. Partner with Data Science and Engineering to deliver agentic and assistive AI features such as audit copilots, risk summarization, and anomaly detection. Establish strong product discovery, measurement, and human-in-the-loop evaluation practices. Champion AI governance in collaboration with Security and Legal, ensuring standards for privacy, bias, and model risk management. Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing product management team, including onshore and offshore talent, ensuring collaboration and execution across geographies and time zones. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability and customer-centricity across distributed teams. Communicate with, inspire and influence stakeholders. Engage directly with enterprise clients and partners worldwide to inform the roadmap and translate insights into platform standards. Drive commercial outcomes with GTM teams through packaging, pricing, adoption programs, and ecosystem partnerships. Own platform KPIs and ensure roadmaps are aligned and prioritized with company vision, strategy and full potential plans. Gain a deep understanding of customers and users, evaluate, and identify product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive product growth. Present to customers at user conferences and industry conferences. Effectively communicate the business value and rationale behind your product decisions. Proactively identify and address strategic issues that might impede the product roadmap. Serve as advisor to Senior Executives on all aspects related to the platform, data, AI and analytics. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 15+ years in B2B SaaS product management, with 10+ years leading platform and/or AI/ML products. Proven record of shipping AI-powered workflows with reliability and governance at scale. Deep expertise in data platforms, APIs, translation, regulatory and industry compliance, multi-tenant SaaS, AI/ML and agent frameworks and enterprise security/compliance. Strong leadership experience: recruiting, managing, mentoring, and scaling global and offshore product management teams. Demonstrated success in PE-owned companies, including leading through successful exits, technology partnerships, M&A, or change-of-control events. Financial acumen (P&L, budgeting, pricing, unit economics, business case justification) and enterprise customer engagement skills. Excellent communication skills to influence executive stakeholders, clients, and teams. Domain exposure to supply chain, service procurement, B2B networks, ESG, risk management, insurance, EHS/safety, compliance, or audit. Strong communication and collaboration skills to facilitate deep strategic conversations with business executives and customers, and the ability to influence decisions across functions. Leadership experience, extensive business knowledge, and a technical background to interact effectively with stakeholders across the customer organization. Proven ability to set a product vision, excite, and lead a cross-functional team to execute. Ability to be a self-starter, high degree of self-direction and independent drive. Creative, curious, growth minded and analytical thinker who thrives on solving challenging problems. Obsessively customer-driven with strong customer discovery and problem validation skills. Strong desire to spend time with customers to intimately understand their domain and their pain points. Passion for building engaging user experiences to ensure features drive high adoption and customer enthusiasm. Focus on operating with speed, choosing progress over perfection. Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, translate to customer and business implications, manage tradeoffs, and facilitate decision-making. IDEAL EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in an accredited university in Computer Science, Analytics, Management, Engineering or related disciplines. Master's degree in related disciplines a plus. 10+ years of experience managing an analytics product portfolio for enterprise B2B software, in a rapidly growing environment. 10+ years of Experience managing a team of product managers / owners. Experience working closely with clients building relationships, running focus groups, leading customer advisory boards. Experience with AWS Bedrock and other industry leading AI/ML toolkits. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with competing resources and priorities, through the product life cycle from planning, development, to launch. Experience in Supply Chain, procurement, business to business data exchange risk, Industrial Safety and Compliance Management is desirable. The final compensation offered to a candidate will be determined by several factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The salary range for this position is $210,000 - $275,000 per year, with a potential bonus.
