Provides full-service account management regarding products and services, including pricing, availability, and shipping information Responds thoroughly and timely to inquiries, via phone, email, or directly to customers, within an industrial distribution environment.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REP - FABRICATION DUTIES:
Receives, processes and coordinates orders, requests for quotation, returns, and credits in a manner consistent with company policies and standards.
Works with sales, credit, inventory control, warehousing personnel, fabrication shop and other various departments to facilitate the needs of the customer.
Minimizes the number of shipments while minimizing expenses incurred to meet the delivery requirements of the customer.
Investigates order entry, shipping, and billing errors and coordinate solutions with the appropriate departments by taking ownership of the situation.
Understands the technical aspects of products and services to a degree that effectively facilitates the order process.
Increase sales by emphasizing promotions and add on sales at the point of order through product knowledge and opportunity recognition.
Follows up with customers to ensure they are kept informed of the status of their request.
Cultivates and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers with regard to service.
Completes training curriculum while demonstrating an acceptable level of competence as defined by management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REP - FABRICATION QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication in a professional manner.
Minimum of 1 year in customer service or sales experience.
Demonstrated strong computer skills (JDE and HydraList experience preferred).
Basic computer skills. Microsoft Windows and Office products are a plus.
1 year working in a multitask environment while under time constraints.
Basic arithmetic skills. Works well with whole numbers, fractions, decimals and measurements.
Ability to read blueprints and/or measurements is preferred.

Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.

Summary
The Transformer field supervisor will be responsible for supervising the field assembly and inspections of HICO's transformer equipment. The position requires expertise in supervising HICO subcontractors and being the SME regarding assembly and installation of transformers in transmission, distribution and generating substations. The position requires expertise in reviewing factory acceptance test (FAT) report and Field (FAT) reports, transformer outlines, customer specifications, and ensuring HICO America's schedule and budget deadlines are upheld. Experience within a transformer manufacturing facility or prior experience with supervising EHV transformer assembly and warranty service inspections.
Responsibilities
Ensuring safety is a top priority -internally/externally with customers and suppliers
Must fully understand and comprehend customer's technical needs
Familiar with tier 1 and tier 2 OEM suppliers of transformer manufacturing (Arresters, bushings, relays, ETM, PRD, control cabinets etc)
Working knowledge with all applicable industry standards including IEEE, ANSI
Must ensure designs are compliant with customer and industry specifications
Ensuring timeliness of reviews of technical information
Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, ability to prioritize are required
Perform physical substation assembly/installation/testing ( In support of subcontractor)
Communicate and correspond with customers, suppliers, HICO engineering and project managers.
Expertise with Bushing connection to EHV transformers
Capable of tolerating field job site conditions and performing internal inspections of transformers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other technical discipline
Must have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience
Capability of solving difficult problems by modifying typical approaches, techniques, procedures, etc.
Strong Problem solving and analytical skills
Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Willingness to travel as needed, up to 75% of the time
