VIKING is a global company with more than 55 years of innovation and leadership in maritime and offshore safety. Headquartered in Denmark, we employ over 2,000 people in more than 30 countries. No-compromise service is a cornerstone of VIKING's offering, delivered by a network of local experts and 260 certified servicing stations spread around the globe. We are involved in a wide range of activities in the maritime industry. With VIKING Life-Saving Equipment as the parent company, the VIKING group of companies include an extensive network of global subsidiaries as well as VIKING Nadiro and VIKING Saatsea. In 2015, VIKING acquired Nadiro A/S, a company formerly owned by maritime and energy conglomerate Maersk Group and SH Group. Nadiro manufactures a range of patented Drop-In-Ball™ technologies, which is a unique system for lifeboat hook systems. Systems are compliant with MED, USCG and NORSOK R-002 standards as well as the EU Machinery Directive. The company was founded in Denmark in 2009. In 2014 Nadiro's rescue boat division “Boat-In-A-Box” was divested to SH Group and the name was changed to Xervo. In 2013, VIKING strengthened its global safety package to the marine and offshore industry by acquiring a major stake in IT startup SAATSEA. Headquartered in Esbjerg, Denmark, VIKING Saatsea develops and delivers a marine competency management and e-training system (CMTS) that addresses the need of marine and offshore owners and operators to train and manage the planning and documentation. The company delivers accredited STCW Refresher Courses and onboard refreshment and assessment for oil and gas vessels based on their OPITO approval.
