Administer TMS treatments according to specific physician protocols. Set up the TMS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy.
Provide good communication with the physician and other members of the team
Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion while developing trust and rapport. Provide support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression and/or anxiety.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout treatment.
Administer psychiatric rating scales.
Record session notes, track insurance authorizations, and schedule patient visits using EMR and medical scheduling software.
QUALIFICATIONS
TMS experience required
Great people skills
BLS certification
At least one year of experience working in a medical office is preferred, but not required.
Experience working with patients who are suffering from anxiety and depression preferred. Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor, and interface well with patients in a mental health setting required.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
An Associates or Bachelors Degree strongly preferred, but candidates with patient care experience will be strongly considered.

Cross-coverage for thoracic cases (open and minimally invasive esophagectomies, lung resections via VATS).

What You'll Do:
Providing care for the patient population in the outpatient setting, including collaboration with physician, ordering and reviewing x-rays, performing complete histories and physical examinations on new, established, preop, and postop patients
Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic tests
Developing appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings
Coordinating care along the patient's entire surgical journey (preop, postop, and recovery/rehab)
Optimizing patients prior to surgery and being first assist in the OR (assisting with wound closure and various tasks between cases such as post orders and case preparation)
Rounding on and discharging surgeon's inpatients and inpatient consults
Prescribing medications and narcotics as necessary according to organizational and state/federal regulatory policies and procedures
Assessing postop wounds and managing other needs such as DME, PT prescriptions, and medications
Accurate and timely documentation of clinic visits, admission and progress notes, procedure notes, and e-mail/phone conversations
On call duties as assigned (1-2 weeks per month)

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant must have interest in assisting with the treatment of patients with chronic pain. Provider will work under supervision of one board certified pain management specialist. The candidate should possess the following qualities and skills: good bedside manner, an empathetic and cooperative disposition, good clinical skills and fund of knowledge
Job duties will include:
1. Assessment of patients with different types of pain by performing interviews, physical examination and documentation of patients' services on the electronic medical record.
2. Performs trigger point injections, Botox injections, bursa and joint injections (knees and shoulders) if deemed appropriate by the attending physician.
3. Order appropriate necessary lab work, imaging studies and consultations to help with the diagnosis and treatment of patient with the attending physician as indicated.
4. Assists the attending staff in the collection of data to determine the effectiveness of the treatment offered at the pain management clinic in order to improve the quality of care.
5. Discusses and explains to patients, results of diagnostic tests ordered and the goals of the treatment plan.
6. Refills non controlled pain medications and provides continuity of care. Refills controlled pain medications on a limited basis and in compliance with Federal and Florida law and client policies.
7. Earns CME credits related to pain management at least once a year and fulfills the requirements of the PA licensure body.
8. Assist the attending physician in educating the patients about different pain treatment options.
9. Perform an appropriate history and physical examination in preparation for scheduling the patient for an interventional pain treatment as determined by the attending physician.
10. Assists the attending physician and nursing staff in the follow up of intrathecal pump patients seen for refills of the pump.
11. Assists the attending physician to prepare the patient in the procedure area
12. Treating and managing new/ existing chronic pain patients with specific treatment plans
13. Establishing positive rapport with patients and encouraging healthy habits depending on current health status
14. Perform in depth physical examinations and wound checks, administer in-office injections under ultrasound, remove post-op sutures and staples as needed.
15. Prepare, modify, update and maintain patient records via EHR/EMR program
16. Evaluate and order interventional procedures based on patient need
17. Provide answers/ recommendations to questions recorded in EMR (from patients, medical professionals, insurances, etc)
18. Assists the attending physician to incorporate physiatry, psychiatry/psychology, orthopedic and addiction disciplines in the treatment plan of the chronic pain patient.
19. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with client policies and procedures, including infection control.
20. Maintains a respectful and professional relationship with the clinical and administrative staff in order to foster a collaborative environment to improve the quality of the care provided to the patients.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
1. Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved nurse practitioner program or maintains PA certification through the National Commission of Physician Assistants.
2. Minimum three years of processional Advanced Practice Provider experience in a clinic setting.
3. Must possess a current CPR/BLS or ACLS certification and current health records with the appropriate immunizations or proof of immunity to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and tuberculosis).
4. Physician Assistant (PA-C) Nurse Practitioner (NP) with an orthopedic/ Physical Med and Rehab or Pain management background will be preferred.
