Position Summary
The Attendant position is responsible for greeting and providing guests with information and assisting with room set up and tear down as well as party and gym supervision.
Essential Job Duties
Develop general knowledge of Park District programs to respond to specific questions and to direct guests to the appropriate staff.
Assist building maintenance staff to ensure proper set up and breakdown of party room.
Greet and assist guests
Oversee and supervise facility rooms/spaces assigned.
Knowledge of facility floor plan and emergency/evacuation procedures.
Knowledge of activities scheduled in the facility.
Operate office machines.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Communicate maintenance issues, repairs, and room setups.
Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival.
Attend all meetings when appropriate.
Performs the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules.

Qualifications
Position Requirements
Prefer High School or further Education. Previous experience helpful but not necessary. General computer skills. Ability to assist guests diplomatically, handle conflicts appropriately and answer questions regarding Park District operations. The work week shall be designated by the program manager as necessary to provide proper service and support to internal and external guests.

Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival.
Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
CPR/AED certification or be able to earn within 60 days.

The position assists the Department in snow and ice removal operations as well as perform routine skilled and unskilled tasks associated with the maintenance of Village streets, storm sewers, traffic systems, signs, and sidewalks.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities primarily focused on all snow-related tasks, maintenance and repairs. Performs a variety of maintenance, repairs, services, and installations on all Village owned infrastructure and properties, during periods of dry weather.
Also performs a variety of tasks necessary to achieve goals of the Public Works Department, as determined by the Director of Public Works, using manual labor and construction trade skills; operates one or more types of equipment including loaders, backhoes, vacuum trucks, televising truck; etc.; and other duties as assigned. Oversee the reconciliations of all accounts in the general ledger. Ensure bank reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis and in a timely manner.
Maintain the financial records for the District and have financial statements available for staff. Prepare the monthly warrant list. Analyze statements, research and prepare correcting entries as needed. Meet with staff to discuss anomalies.
Prepare monthly sales tax returns.
Responsible for verification and approval of all payroll journal entries into the general ledger.
Act as the administrator for BS&A Software including maintaining chart of accounts and reports and assisting staff with the use of the software. Analyze software updates and their impact on operations, and modify procedures as required.
Manage the investment of funds, monitoring of cash flow and coordinating wire transfers to cover expenditures and debt payments.
Oversee monthly physical inventories.
Coordinate the budget preparation including training staff, preparing budgets for assigned accounts and assisting in the preparation of the yearly operating and capital budgets.
Prepare annual Budget & Appropriation Ordinance and coordinate public hearing.
Prepare annual tax levy.
Coordinate the annual rollover bond issuance and any required District funding alternative or general bonds.
