Knights of Pythias (1891)
Originally founded in 1919, the company has evolved from building single family homes into one of the nation’s largest privately held apartment companies.
Village Green Management Company and the Village Green apartment brand was established in 1966 as a separate division exclusively for developing, building and managing apartment communities.
In 2001, a group of nine private citizens decided to renovate the Fairhaven Green - a grassy plot behind Village Books.
Brian Griffin, a member of the Fairhaven Village Green Committee, was master of ceremonies for the dedication two years later – April 26, 2003.
In 2011, Compatriot Capital, a division of Sammons Enterprises, Inc., became owners in Village Green.
