Key Responsibilities:
Graphic & Print DesignDesign and develop graphic artwork for men's & women's graphic tees that align with our brand identity and target market preference
Create repeat prints and plaids preparing artwork for production and ensuring alignment with factory requirements and internal standards
Maintain consistency across categories while evolving the brand aesthetic with fresh ideas.
Collaborate with the product development team to ensure designs are feasible for production and meet quality standards
Create and present print, plaid, and detailed graphic pitch sheets for production
Apply expertise in illustration and graphic design to create visually striking and original artwork
Utilize knowledge of various apparel print techniques to achieve desired effects and ensure design integrity
Work closely with cross functional team to oversee the sampling and production processes, ensuring designs are accurately executed
Participate in cross-functional meetings to contribute to overall product strategy and development
Tech Pack Management
Update, build, maintain, and organize tech packs for all graphics and print placements
Ensure artwork files, callouts, colorways, measurements, and print specs are accurate and complete
Collaborate with Product Development to address mill, vendor, and factory comments
Track revisions and version control for seamless communication across teams
What you bring:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in graphic design, specifically in apparel
Bachelor's degree in Studio Art, Illustration, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
Exceptional illustration skills and a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of graphic tees
Profound understanding of apparel print techniques, including screen printing, digital printing, embroidery and various appliques
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design software such as Procreate and NedGraphics
Experience creating and updating tech packs (knowledge of PLM systems a plus)

This DII is responsible for communicating category related product information to internal departments. This individual will work with team members to ensure that calendar deadlines are met to reach organizational goals. The Designer II will be expected to take the lead on initiatives from conception to completion as well as special projects.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Priority spent coordinating and managing technical design sketches and technical package information for all assigned designs; and managing through completion.
Manage assigned product lines to include aesthetic, experience, color execution, and merchandising.
Uncover, share, and employ insights from trend, market, field use, and consumer behavior.
Partner with product team members to identify fabric direction for specific categories and products with a lens for performance, sustainability, and aesthetic.
Work closely with development and merch partners through an iterative prototyping process to reach production ready product.
Assist in the build out of design presentations for key gates and milestones.
Work closely with internal and external designers in ensuring aesthetic cohesion across product categories.
Lead, support, and execute off-calendar projects related to SMU's (Special Make-up) and advanced projects.
Assist as a resource for all category specific design and development related information including prototype development status, features, fabric, trim and color details.
Support in updating technical sketches for all design team members.
Champion product design excellence in all aspects of the role.
Responsible for taking part in concept meetings and design reviews.
Travel as necessary for design related support, presentation, and research.
Job Qualifications:
5 to 7 years of experience in apparel design in the cycling/outdoor apparel industry.
Bachelor's Degree in Apparel Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
Engineering experience spanning performance garments made fit to a body in motion to structured lifestyle silhouettes preferred.
Experience working with multiple high-end materials.
Possess broad knowledge of apparel product development and garment construction.
Manages own priorities and workload to complete the required tasks.
Works well under moderate supervision.
Honest, dependable team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work under extremely tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail, repetitive work; along with ability to follow specific instruction.
Ability to work well within cross functional teams.
Expected to have design intelligence and business acumen.
Thorough understanding of the below referenced software systems.

Tecovas is looking for a Junior Apparel Designer to support our apparel design team across both men's and women's product lines. Reporting directly to the Director of Apparel, you will work hands-on with design projects, manage details with accuracy, and help ensure timelines are met. You'll play an important role in keeping the design process organized and moving forward while learning and growing your skills in a creative environment.
This role is required to be based in Austin, TX. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX.
What you'll do:
Assist with the creation of seasonal apparel collections including CADs, tech packs, and presentation materials.
Maintain organized fabric, trim, lab dip, and artwork archives.
Support fittings by capturing design changes and next steps accurately.
Update and maintain tech packs with accurate design details
Research trends and markets to bring in fresh ideas that align with the brand.
Experience we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Fashion Design, or Industrial Design, or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of relevant experience in apparel design
Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems.
Familiarity with garment construction, fabrics, and trims.
Experience in an apparel design or product development environment.
Bonus points for experience in western facing or adjacent brand
