Job Summary

Complete installation projects in a professional and timely manner, including all finishing trims, insulates, and/or caulk.
Recognize damaged wood and implement minor wood repair as needed for professional installation.
Collect final payment, survey, and completion certificate from the customer.
Qualifications
Own a truck and/or trailer and/or van and all necessary tools to install vinyl siding.
Maintain liability insurance, workers comp coverage, and licensing/credentials to perform siding installation in local area.

Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the ASPHALT PAVING FOREMAN position for our South Carolina operations to oversee and supervise our asphalt paving crews on various projects such as commercial parking lots, city streets, county, and state roadways, as well as interstate highways. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. The ideal candidate for this role will have a demonstrated ability to recruit, train and retain crew members focused on safety, quality, and productivity. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Ability to enforce and abide by the safety policies while completing satisfactory and quality work daily.
Ability to perform asphalt paving, stone set-up, and milling operations in accordance with NCDOT, SCDOT, County, City and Commercial Specifications.
Ability to read plans and specifications (application rates, grades, slope, drainage, etc.).
Proven track record of completing jobs under budget and on time by setting clear expectations and feedback to crew members.
Ability to manage all aspects of the operation including ordering of materials, logistics, maintenance, and outside services.
Coordination between other foreman, plants, crews, subs, and vendors in advance of starting the shift or project.
Ensure daily maintenance and housekeeping is occurring and pre-trip inspections are written up and submitted daily.
Nights and weekends are required based on customer demands.
Daily submission of electronic timecards and shift production reports as required by management with accurate quantities and cost coding.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a paving foreman, with references.
Knowledge of the local customers, materials, and specifications is strongly preferred.
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven record of being a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision.
Ability to work well with team members or inspectors while managing stressful situations in changing environments.
Proficient with GPS grade and slope control.
Asphalt paving experience required.
Computer skills are required.
Driver's license and safe driving record.

This position will report to the Plant Manager, and the candidate for this role should have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. The Aggregate Foreman position is expected to be a high-impact contributor to the success of operations with high potential for future advancement within the organization.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
• Supervising mining, production, and maintenance at two sand and gravel sites.
• Overseeing day-to-day execution and implementation of zero-harm safety program.
• Planning and scheduling production resources to meet customer needs.
• Planning, executing, and tracking fixed plant and mobile equipment preventative maintenance services.
• Documenting downtime of fixed plant and mobile equipment.
• Evaluating trends and leading continuous improvement and innovation efforts to increase throughput and plant availability.
• Assuring adherence to Rogers Group operating standards for managing equipment, production schedules, quality, labor, and material.
Qualifications
• Proven safety record and excellent compliance in MSHA safety standards.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required with 3-5 years of mining experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mining or other technical discipline preferred.
• Knowledge of mining, material handling, and maintenance.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills. Able to read and create work instructions, email, and memos.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to create and be efficient with Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently, and train others.
• Ability to keep time and material records.
• Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills and attributes.
• Demonstrated ability in identifying, communicating, and implementing best operating practices, including quality, maintenance, production, and safety excellence.
• Working knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
• Willing to travel occasionally for training purposes.
