The Massachusetts Mental Health Center (MMHC) seeks licensed, board-certified psychiatrists to provide psychopharmacologic treatment and clinical care in the outpatient clinic. The clientele are adults receiving services through the Department of Mental Health who experience a variety of difficulties including major mental illness, disruptions in attachments, trauma, poverty, substance abuse, homelessness, and involvement with the criminal justice system. Desirable qualifications include experience with the pharmacology of complex illness, psychiatric rehabilitation, and integration with physical health and wellness. Areas of responsibility can be tailored to the particular interests and expertise of the individual selected, but will involve clinical care, supervision/ teaching, administration, and program development. An academic appointment with the Harvard Medical School is possible for the appropriate candidate. Garage parking in the Longwood Medical Area available at no cost.

Communicate units' rules and policies clearly to patients and their family members and seek feedback to assure a clear understanding.

Requirements for the Position:
Massachusetts registration and license in nursing.
One (1) year of hospital experience is required, which involved acute admissions on either medical, surgical, or emergency service.

Compensation

Job Requirements:

Job Summary:
The Safety Specialist promotes health, wellness and safety in our low threshold services for adults with histories of homelessness, most of whom are impacted by substance use and misuse, co-occurring mental health challenges, and complex health conditions. The Safety Specialist directly supports Bay Cove's mission by working on behalf of persons served, staff, and all community stakeholders in a proactive and professional manner. This staff member is critical to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for persons who live in our permanent housing programs and whose work reflects a commitment to health, racial and housing equity.
By providing respectful and responsive supports and by working collaboratively with all stakeholder, this staff member implements hare reduction and trauma informed supports to pesos who have often been marginalized and stigmatized by others. The Safety Specialist brings great value to our tenants and team members by offering practical assistance in a calm, positive, and respectful manner. In such environments, people can work to build or rebuild their lives, and enjoy the benefits of a safe and affordable home. The Safety Specialist severs as a community diplomat and represents the CCC and Bay Cove as a good neighbor and responsive community partner.
This is a 32-hour per week position.

Essential Functions of Position:
Welcomes and logs in all guests, visitors, and community partners.
Reinforces expectations and policies for tenants and guests that support the safety and benefit of all tenants, staff, and neighbors. Ensures that Narcan is administered in the event that a person over doses and waits with the person until First Responders are onthe scene. From the front desk, monitors cameras with all staff to support tenants' needs. Ensures that health and safety systems (security camera, Automated External Defibrillator, door alarms, smoke detectors in common kitchens, First Aid kits, CPR masks, Narcan, fentanyl test strips, etc.) are all in good supply and in working order. Intervenes in crisis situations using good judgement, communication skills, de-escalation techniques, and calling upon emergency services as needed.
Demonstrates dependability and reliability.
Must be able to work all shifts including weekend and holidays as scheduled.
Attends all required training.
Communicates in real-time with Program Director and staff at the CCC.
Maintains privacy and confidentiality of tenants' personal and private health conditions in accordance with state and federal law.
All other duties as requested by the Program Director.

We have an 11- month school year (202 days) and are located on a beautiful campus in Braintree, MA. Our team works with students individually and in small groups to support their full engagement in academic, vocational, social, and recreational activities that promote skill development, emotional well-being, and movement towards graduation.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $55,000 to $96,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
What You'll Do:
Work with the Head of School to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the school and ensure a cohesive and unified school community.
Substitute teaching as needed.
Working collaboratively with the Education Director to provide classroom observations and staff support.
Supervising non-licensed teaching staff (academic support staff).
Scheduling responsibilities.
Facilitate daily scheduling and assigning staffing positions across campus to ensure appropriate coverage. You will supervise milieu staff, observe and support staff in classrooms, and provide backup as needed.
Lead daily team meetings to review details of the day and set staff up for success.
Work with the Campus director to oversee the implementation of our school wide positive behavior support system.
Provide consultation and support throughout the course of the day regarding behavioral support needs for both staff and students and reinforce staff and support students in making progress towards goals.
Utilize data to drive initiatives and provide trainings for staff and students focused on data and behavior support topics.
Serve on the administrative team to establish and maintain program policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively to enhance and effectively utilize our in-house Student Information System.
