Richard Boylan has spent more than 15 years in technology leadership roles. He joined Virgin Pulse as a member of the founding leadership team in 2004. As Virgin Pulse's Chief Operating Officer, Richard oversees all product and technical development, build, implementation, and operations for all Virgin Pulse's products.

Richard's been with the Virgin Group for more than a decade, and he's worked on a number of Web-centric, technology-focused start-ups for various Virgin businesses. He led IT and Operations for Virgin Cars and Bikes, a UK-based car, truck, and bike retailer, which quickly became the largest online vehicle retailer in Europe. He also developed an operational and technical strategy for a Virgin-branded, pan-European car rental business, and planned and implemented a group-wide telecom and data strategy. Before joining the Virgin Group, Richard served as European Infrastructure and Database Manager for RL Polk.

Richard has an honors degree in business studies and information management from Liverpool University in the UK.

Andrew Boyd is a CHIEF OF STAFF (EVP) at Virgin Pulse and HEAD OF CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT at Virgin Pulse and is based in Greater Boston. He has worked as CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER, ShapeUp (acquired by Virgin Pulse) at Virgin Pulse; CHIEF STRATEGY & MARKETING OFFICER at Dimensional Insight; and VP & GENERAL MANAGER at Sage. Andrew attended Drexel University, Temple University, and Harvard Business School Executive Education.

Rik Thorbecke offers broad and global leadership experience in strategic finance, mergers and acquisitions, business planning, enterprise software, and international business to Virgin Pulse. As CFO, he oversees finance strategy and operations and accelerates Virgin Pulse’s growth trajectory, leading a team focused on building business partnerships and optimizing business processes and systems. Prior to Virgin Pulse, Rik held several executive finance and strategy roles at well-known public and high-growth private companies, including Electronic Arts, Equinix, Levi Strauss, Magnitude Software and most recently as CFO of Jitterbit, a leading API integration and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) provider.

Proven track record of building and leading many cross functional global engineering teams and organization from the ground up with extensive experience in delivering scalable distributed system architectures and process improvement, operational excellence, application architecture, planning and implementing modern technology infrastructures on numerous computing platforms. Under his leadership, those organizations significantly expanded their health plan and enterprise businesses, achieving 3x year-over-year revenue growth.

Prior to Welltok, Erica led communications and investor relations for Epocrates, a medical app company used by half of the physicians in the U.S. Erica played an integral role in taking Epocrates public and the subsequent acquisition by athenahealth. Earlier in her career at Manning, Selvage and Lee (a Publicis Group subsidiary), she drove awareness for international clients including Pfizer, Biogen and Philips Medical Systems.
