Our Williamsburg Clinic is a Multispecialty Clinic that is home to 14 different specialties including Hepatology, Thoracic Surgery, Breast Surgery Oncology, Cardiology and more. While we primarily serve adolescent to geriatric patients, we also have pediatric providers in Family Medicine, Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery. In addition to our variety of specialties we also perform a range of diagnostic testing & imaging services onsite. Our clinical team of RNs, LPNs, Athletic Trainers, CMAs and a Sonographer works together and with our providers to enhance patient outcomes and experiences for optimal clinic operations. We are also fortunate to have a unique partnership with the William & Mary campus providing services to their staff and students, especially in Athletics! Our clinic hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm and we offer flexible scheduling. We are excited to add a motivated individual to our team who is eager to develop their knowledge and skillset working with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment. The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the physician. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as, the American Association of Medical Assistants, the American Medical Technologists, The National Association of Healthcare Professions, the American Registry of Medical Assistants, or the National Healthcare Association. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as, the American Association of Medical Assistants, the American Medical Technologists, The National Association of Healthcare Professions, the American Registry of Medical Assistants, or the National Healthcare Association. Clinical appointments align with a 12-month service period (July 1 - June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The successful candidate will have duties at Seattle Children's Hospital/University of Washington, School of Medicine. Our career hospitalists have diverse backgrounds and interests, and participate in a variety of quality improvement, patient safety, educational, and faculty development initiatives. Our hospitalists attend on the General Medicine resident service for 7-day rotations. We provide direct supervision and bedside/didactic teaching of rotating residents and medical students. We also provide 24/7 in-house coverage for the General Medicine non-resident service which also includes daytime supervision and teaching of rotating medical students and advanced practice providers. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. As the second largest Department in the UW School of Medicine, Pediatrics has twenty-one clinical divisions with approximately 1,400 academic appointments, including approximately 650 paid faculty members, 134 residents, 70 ACGME fellows, 230 staff employees and over 600 volunteer/affiliate faculty and continues to grow each year. The Department of Pediatrics is a close affiliate of Seattle Children's Hospital (SCH) and Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI). Faculty members appointed in the Department are located at various institutions (including Seattle Children's, UW Medicine, and FHCRC), and are part of the Children's University Medical Group (CUMG) clinical practice plan. The base salary range for this position will be: Clinical Assistant Professors $12,331 - $18,497 per month ($147,982 - $221,972 annually), Clinical Associate Professors $14,038 - $21,057 per month ($168,462 - $252,694 annually), Clinical Professors $16,913 - $25,369 per month ($202,959 - $304,439 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
