**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As our CTTechnologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.
To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.
+ Executes all diagnostic CT studies operating equipment to include, but not limited to General Electric CT scanners, and workstation, Macintosh G3 computer, and associated patient care equipment.
+ Delivers patient care for all age groups of patients requiring CT services, acting as a liaison between the patient and the radiologist.
+ Performs incidental office duties necessary to maintain a timely and complete patient record.
+ Performs Quality Assurance audits and activities as assigned.
+ Cultural Sensitivity and Competence: Demonstrates proper use of communication tools/materials for effective communication and understands how the culture(s) of patient populations can affect communication, collaboration and the provision of care, treatment and services. Patient Population Served: Demonstrates knowledge and proper skills associated with the department's defined specific populations served.
**Job Requirements**
Required
+ Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, (including course work in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy)
+ One year of work experience in the senior level of the core job family or any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position
+ American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT)
+ Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification
+ State of Washington Registration as a Radiologic Technologist
+ One year of work experience as a CTTechnologist is preferred.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist I I, you'll join a collaborative procedural team working alongside physicians to support a wide variety of cases ranging from routine diagnostic angiography to complex vascular and therapeutic interventions.
Operate advanced imaging equipment including single and bi-plane fluoroscopic angiography systems, ultrasound and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) to support safe, precise and efficient procedures.
Assist with device management and case preparation while ensuring quality standards, routine equipment checks and performance improvement initiatives are met.
Perform a wide scope of interventional procedures, from routine diagnostic angiography to complex vascular, non-vascular and therapeutic interventions.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses and technologists as part of a multidisciplinary team, fostering a safe environment and contributing to the best possible patient outcomes.

As a CT Tech, you will Utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues in compliance with proper safety procedures and protocols. The incumbent interprets a physician's scanning instructions, administers contrast materials, prepares and operates the CT scan equipment and positions the patient to capture the appropriate images. Works also includes: 1) maneuvering equipment and patients, 2) providing basic patient care, 3) submitting accurate and timely imaging, patient history documentation, and case charging and 4) supporting the department's initiatives related to patient and employee satisfaction.
The incumbent performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity in order to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
The incumbent is also accountable for: 1) keeping abreast of CHI Franciscan Health (CHI-FH) standards, protocols and procedures relating to the CT function, 2) keeping CT skills current, 3) demonstrating evidence of continuing education to include department meetings, individualized learning opportunities from radiologist and related classes.
**Essential Functions:**
Executes all diagnostic CT studies operating equipment to include, but not limited to General Electric CT scanners, and workstation, Macintosh G3 computer, and associated patient care equipment.
- Follows formal protocols for all work assignments; explains procedure(s) to patient and responds to questions.
- Completes assigned examinations including filming, jacket retrieval and location of old images.
Delivers patient care for all age groups of patients requiring CT services, acting as a liaison between the patient and the radiologist.
- Performs basic activities in regard to patient care; responds to emergency situations while delivering patient care
- Consults with nursing floor regarding changes in patient's condition; documents in-patient charts with patient care notes and completes incident forms for the time patient is in the CT suite.
- Provides for patient comfort and protection from radiation sources by utilizing appropriate procedures/accessories; consults protocol manual for scanning parameters to ensure unnecessary exposure is reduced and patient dose is kept as low as possible.
Performs incidental office duties necessary to maintain a timely and complete patient record.
- Enters patient data in existing computer database.
- Records applicable exam codes and supplies used on billing sheet.
Performs Quality Assurance audits and activities as assigned
