Promotes and maintains health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assesses client health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating and reviewing medical histories
Provide ongoing care to our residential clients as medical needs arise.
Initiates the induction of clients on Suboxone, will monitor the response and adjust the dose accordingly.
Assist in the introduction and orientation of clients to Vivitrol and will monitor medical response to the injections.
Contributes to physician?s effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-term patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives.
Review and monitor Suboxone and Methodone orders monthly
Collaborate with clinical to facilitate client referrals.
Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms and laboratory studies, interpreting test results.
Documents patient care services by charting in patient electronic health records
Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, discussing family planning, promoting wellness and health maintenance.
Provides continuity of care by assisting in the development of patient treatment plans
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Protects clients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Graduate of a nurse practitioner program required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Current RN and APN licensure (State of New Jersey and/or Multistate License) required.
BLS-HCP certification is required.

One year experience in addiction preferred
