15-month program at Kaweah Health Medical Center designed to train AP's in Emergency Medicine utilizing didactic and clinical experience.
Fellows will complete off-site rotations at Adventist Health Tulare, attend weekly formal didactic training and discussion, and attend weekly conferences with EM Residents.
Hands-on clinical training and close supervision provided by certified PA's, NP's, and BE/BC Emergency Physicians.
Exposure to emergency medicine, critical care, trauma surgery, emergency ultrasound, pediatrics, mental health, and intake rotation.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), as well as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Program focuses on clinical excellence, provider wellness and longevity, and the development of leadership qualities that will prepare graduates to be future leaders in their field.
Fellows learn how to rapidly evaluate emergent and non-emergent patients, gain experience in procedures of emergency medicine, develop leadership skills, and appropriately disposition patients and interact with attending and consulting physicians.
