As a Visiting Angel, you'll make a direct impact every day by providing essential care and companionship. Key Responsibilities Personal Care & Companionship Assist clients with non-medical daily living activities such as grooming, dressing, and light personal care. Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation, games, or outings. Encourage independence and positive engagement. Household Support Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, vacuuming, dishes, and tidying living areas. Prepare and serve simple, nutritious meals and snacks. Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and organizing household items. Safety & Supervision Maintain a safe environment by observing clients' physical and emotional conditions and reporting any changes to the office. Follow care plans and emergency procedures accurately. Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention techniques as needed. Transportation & Errands Provide transportation to appointments, social activities, or errands (if approved and assigned). Ensure clients are safely accompanied and supported during outings. Scheduling & Communication Work multiple short (2-4 hour) visits per day with different clients. Maintain reliable communication with the Scheduling Coordinator regarding shift availability and any changes. Use our care management app (Wellsky) to clock in, complete care tasks, and clock out. Qualifications Required: Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality with a genuine desire to help seniors. Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and reference verification. Communication skills and attention to detail. Physically able to assist clients with mobility and daily tasks. Able to bend over, stand for extended periods of time, and lift at least 50 pounds Preferred: Valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation. Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field. Experience working with seniors or individuals with dementia or mobility challenges. Availability for flexible scheduling and willingness to travel within the Central Ohio area. Schedule & Availability Shifts are typically 2-4 hours in length.
