What you will be doing:
Responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route load(s), trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard.
Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, & participate in "Cycle Counts".
Operate material handling equipment; including pallet jack, forklift, etc.
Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, label machines, tapers, palletizers, etc.
What we need from you:
At least 18 years of age or older.
1-3 Years of shipping experiencepreferred.
Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time.
Comfortable in a warm working environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Basic Function

This role is responsible for operating machines to finish production orders and assisting with the shipping process. The ForkliftOperator is responsible for performing material handling tasks within the warehouse to support finished product shipping and warehouse activities as directed by the Finished Goods Warehouse Supervisor. This role is responsible for the storing, staging, loading, and accuracy of the Finished Goods Warehouse. This role continuously supports Sofidel's Employee Personal Practice Policy. Essential Job Functions:
* Maintain PIT driving certification for single forks, double-wide, box-clamp, roll-clamp, and any other application as necessary.
* Conduct and maintain regular forklift inspections per requirements. Also complete mandatory logs and documents to remain compliant.
* Have an in depth knowledge of the HU label process.
* Stage loads, print & apply product labels, and verify all loads to the necessary loading documents.
* Monitor scanner, daily adjustments, level of stock, and accuracy of goods in stock.

We are seeking Production and Distribution Associates who are interested in cross-training across multiple departments. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, operating equipment, and developing a broad set of manufacturing and distribution skills.
What you may get to do:
· Operate and monitor production, packing or shipping equipment in various departments.
· Learn and perform various production or distribution processes through cross-training.
· Perform finishing tasks such as trimming, de-flashing, and inspecting parts.
· Perform packing and shipping tasks such as assembling product components, inspecting finished goods, packaging items according to specifications, processing orders, printing and applying shipping labels, and organizing shipments to meet daily deadlines.
· Use hand tools and manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
· Complete accurate production documentation, including counts and scrap.
· Move, stack, and tag materials and finished goods using hand lifts or other equipment.
· Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
· Follow all safety, quality, and work instructions.
· Read and follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
· Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
· Adapt to different production areas, tasks, and in some cases, repetitive processes.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to the role:
· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Manufacturing or production experience preferred, but not required.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong attendance and reliability
· Effective communication skills
· Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train across departments
· Willingness to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) based on tasks.
