As the Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to support our engineering team on our product lines.
This position reports to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering and is based out of our Anoka, MN office.
What you'll do:
* Create work instructions and/or operating procedures for new and existing equipment and products.
* Complete time studies and capacity analysis for bottleneck equipment.
* Document machine change over tasks and troubleshooting guides to improve machine uptime.
* Support the Engineering and Operations staff in process improvement activities.
* Generate reports and summaries of data and work performed.
* Perform process capability studies as needed.
* Perform root cause analysis on manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
* Create engineering change orders for print and document revision
Experience you bring:
* Engineering student in an accredited technical college or university. Prefer Manufacturing Mechanical or Industrial Engineer
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
* Proficient at handling ambiguity and dealing with multiple priorities

What you'll do:
* Assist with time studies, data collection, and statistical analysis to identify process improvement opportunities
* Support Kaizen events, 5S activities, and other Lean initiatives
* Participate in value stream mapping and process documentation
* Help prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations
* Collaborate with CI engineers and specialists on improvement projects
* Observe and learn Six Sigma methodology (DMAIC) and Lean tools in practice
* Hands-on experience with process improvement projects in a high-volume manufacturing environment

Experience you bring:
* Currently pursuing a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

Assembly Operator
In the Assembly Operator position you will perform a wide variety of tasks to prepare or build up vehicle parts, sub-systems, and components. The position requires the use and operation of various power tools, hoists, and production equipment. Assembly Operators work in a repetitive, fast paced environment and participate in teams to improve processes. This job requires you to lift up to 40lbs, bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, reach overhead, perform strong pinch and grip, push pull up to 100lbs, and stand/walk up to 8 hours per day.

The Selection Process:

Intern Relocation Assistance:

Your responsibilities:
As a Risk Management/Commodity Trading Intern you will gain exposure to all areas of the business within Ardent Mills and how our commodity trading team supports the business. You will work alongside traders who will offer their own unique skills and ideas, allowing you to broaden your knowledge and capabilities. You will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of commodity trading and how we apply our trading strategies to the flour milling business.
A successful candidate will have the following attributes:
Assist milling co-product traders with customer contact, logistical execution of trades, and contract maintenance.

Collaborate with traders in regards to arbitrage opportunities and position game plans.
