As the Security Officer you will have the opportunity to provide basic plant security to protect employees, facilities, and plant assets.
Shift Hours: 6:00am-6:00pm
Schedule rotation is 2 days on 2 days off, then 5 days on 5 days off
Pay Information: $21.66 per hour
Experience you bring:
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* Good communication skills, both written and oral
* Must possess basic mathematics skills
* Must have valid driver's license without restrictions
* Must be able to pass background checks for unsupervised access to explosives (Employee Possessor)
* Must be able to work under stressful conditions
* Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision
* Ability to work varied work schedules as needed
* Must be trained in threat response within 90 days of employment
* Must be certified in First Aid/CPR within 6 months of hire
* Must be certified in fire extinguisher use within 90 days of employment
* Must certify as 8-hour HAZMAT responder within six months of employment
You may have:
* Two-year technical diploma in law enforcement or similar
* One year or more of prior security field experience
* Law enforcement or military experience
What you'll do:
* First point of contact for those entering the Federal Cartridge and DCE sites, including regulatory officials and law enforcement.
* Directs those unfamiliar with the site to their destination, escalating issues by following established protocols.
* Make foot and/or vehicle-assisted rounds, perform various compliance inspections under environmental, safety and security mandated programs. Monitor camera's, alarm panels and badge reading equipment.
* Act as emergency coordinators and first responders to significant spills or environmental incidents.
* Watch for spills, leaks, fires, theft and vandalism.
* Follow SOP's, work instructions and Standard Work for Security Guard.
* Check for illegal entry.
* Logs all activity in daily logbook, such as items that are not routine.
* Check doors and windows that are supposed to be closed and locked.
* Check gates to ensure they are closed and/or locked if appropriate. Investigate vehicle/traffic accidents on site.
* Make periodic patrol of parking lots, issue parking violations and watch for suspicious activity.
* Check badges of employees accessing plant.
* Conduct random searches of vehicles and employees entering and exiting the plant.
* Warns violators and documents any infractions such as loitering, trespassing, smoking in restricted areas, and carrying forbidden articles.
* Assist in handling workplace violence scenarios.
* Escort employees and others off plant if needed.
* Use fire extinguisher to put out small, incipient-type fires.
* Performs non-routine tasks and other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements: Ability to use stairs, work from heights or in cramped areas, manual dexterity for use of handheld radios and flashlights, normal eyesight and hearing.
Mental Requirements: Alert and responsive; able to remain calm in stressful/emergency situations.
Equipment Used: Handheld radios, flashlights, computer, phone.
Working Environment: Work will frequently expose the worker to outdoor elements, normal industrial workplace hazards including dust, noise and chemicals.

* Participate in value stream mapping and process documentation
* Help prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations
* Collaborate with CI engineers and specialists on improvement projects
* Observe and learn Six Sigma methodology (DMAIC) and Lean tools in practice
* Hands-on experience with process improvement projects in a high-volume manufacturing environment

Experience you bring:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unloads product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards (e.g., handling product according to preferred work methods, scanning product as it is delivered into the store).
Ensures all paperwork is completed according to established company and governmental guidelines (e.g., DOT electronic or manual logs, inspections, company vehicle maintenance reports and pre- and post-trip reports are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis, ensures all invoices are accurate and turned in daily and all damages and shortages are reported promptly).
Ensures all food safety protocols are met according to established guidelines (e.g., proper temperatures are maintained in the delivery vehicle, product is inspected for visible damages prior to delivery, product is delivered and stored to prevent cross contamination) and maintains sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer; assists with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard.
Develops and establishes good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a tractor trailer driving school will be accepted instead of, or in addition to a high school diploma.
CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of: DOT regulations; Hazmat guidelines; Safe lifting and delivery practices.
Skill in: driving over long distances, over a variety of terrains and in varying weather conditions, communicating with customers; solving problems; delivering products.
Ability to: drive a tractor-trailer unit both in the day and at night, remain alert and aware of surroundings; meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company; handle hazardous materials and food and restaurant items that are frozen, dry and refrigerated; operate a 3 axle tractor, 45' - 48' trailer, straight truck, on board computer, key pad and a 2 wheel hand cart

Friesen's Inc is seeking an experienced TIG Welder/Tacker to perform advanced TIG welding and tack assembly on stainless steel components. This role requires the ability to weld in all positions, interpret complex blueprints, and fit parts accurately to meet engineering and quality standards. Candidates must be detail-oriented, capable of gathering correct materials per prints, and skilled in troubleshooting fabrication issues. *Key Responsibilities*
* Weld in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) as needed
* Layout, position, and fit material to be welded in an efficient manner per print
* Read and interpret detailed blueprints, part drawings, and weld symbols accurately
* Must be able to lay out parts, assemble components, and fabricate complex assembles using blueprints, drawings, engineering, and quality requirements
* Perform advanced TIG welding on stainless steel components with precision and care
· Gather all the stock parts needed for the job, ensuring part numbers and quantities match the prints
· Ensure part numbers and quantities are correct to the BOM in the upper right-hand corner of the print before tacking the weldment together
* Set up equipment to weld on a variety of metals and alloys using TIG welding
* Collaborate directly with engineers and project leads to resolve design and fabrication questions
* Responsible for your own weld quality and consistency
* Move and position material with hoist and forklift
* Regulate amps, volts, wire feed rate, gas flow, and gas mixtures in accordance with material, weld process, and weld positions
* Ensure all welds meet Friesen's quality and safety standards and assist in pure-to-pure quality checks, green tag
* Operate hand and power tools related to metal fabrication
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Follow all company safety protocols and PPE requirements
*Skills and Qualifications*
* 4+ years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
* Certificate of completion from Technical School Welding program (preferred)
* Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding of fabrication drawings
* Understand proper welding requirements for welding positions, base material, joint design, and specifications
* Math and problem-solving skills, with strong skills in fitting, measuring, and pre-weld tack assembly
* Ability to troubleshoot and solve fabrication-related issues on the floor
* Be able to lift to 50lbs regularly
* Knowledge of safe material handling methods
