THE ROLE:
AMD's NTSG - Network Technology Solutions Group working on our DPU has been adopted by some of the industry's largest enterprise and cloud service providers across product generations. The AMD Pensando DPUs have been widely adopted, validated and tested as the front-end networking solution in some of the largest hyperscale data centers. We are looking for a talented leader to help develop innovative solutions and software features, bring up new products, and improve the quality of our existing software.
THE PERSON:
We seek a hands-on leader responsible for a large functional area with the Software Development team. They will lead the team, planning software development projects, creating documentation, and delivering software products for internal and external customers. Requires experience with cross-team management. This role also requires that the individual can lead and interact and work with their counterparts globally to ensure effective delivery of the projects: strong Interpersonal, verbal, and written skills and the ability to multitask.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate and play a critical role in planning project deliverables
Own and drive software design, development, verification, and release the product to customers
Performing individual goal planning and evaluation per AMD policies
Maintaining the health and morale of the team
Develop and grow the engineering skills of the team
Drive critical issues and interface with cross-functional teams
Provide periodic management/executive updates
Lead brainstorming sessions
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a hands-on software engineering, development, and/or architectural leadership role
Solid knowledge of software fundamentals
Strong C/C++ programming skills and operating system knowledge
Embedded Programming knowledge and skills are desired
Consistent record in engineering execution, delivering software on time with high quality, and achieving premium high-performance software solutions
Proven track record of planning and delivering complex system software products
Experience leading multiple projects with competing priorities
Strong project management skills and experience with project management techniques such as scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
Disciplined approach to problem solving and ability to make business decisions in a technical environment

THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Director of AI (Generative AI) to lead our Modeling team, with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs).
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading a world-class research and engineering team focused on LLMs and foundation models, with a strong publication record in top-tier research venues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

What You'll Do
* Manage a team of engineers from start to finish in developing the Brand Concierge agentic application, including research, building, implementation, quality assurance, production deployment and operation.
* Work closely with product management and clients to define and refine the product roadmap, user experience, priorities, and schedule. You will also collaborate actively with upstream and downstream teams. These groups are passionate about machine learning, language processing, administration, and analytical systems.

What you need to succeed
* BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

* Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to mix gathering data with prototyping to build understanding and confirm direction.

Role summary
Lead Firefly Foundry's GenAI Field Architecture practice, with a focus on VFX, building and managing a team of senior VFX engineers and architects proficient in Generative AI. Drive executive engagement with studio, streaming, sports, and gaming leaders while scaling Firefly adoption through people leadership, multi-functional alignment, and repeatable execution models.
You'll partner with VFX houses, studios, directors, and more in the film industry to reinvent content pipelines with Firefly - taking initiatives from pilot to global rollout. What you'll bring
Must-have
* 12+ years of developing and shipping VFX solutions in film and other M&E industries (e.g., gaming)
* 2+ years developing and working with Generative AI solutions (e.g., ComfyUI) for VFX, production, and post-production (in animation, or live action).
* 5+ years in people leadership roles, managing VFX engineering teams (direct reports, hiring, coaching, career development).
* Deep understanding of M&E production, post-production, and VFX workflows.
* Familiarity in Generative AI solution patterns: prompt design & evaluation, guardrails, observability/measurement, vectorized retrieval, style constraints, and cost governance.
* Strong technical depth across Software and tooling for VFX; ability to evaluate trade-offs without being the primary implementer.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, with 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering, including 5+ years in people leadership roles managing teams of 10+.

THE ROLE:
We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Director to help drive the future of how we manage GPUs within AMD. We're building a self-service GPU platform and while we have many of the "lego pieces" needed to bootstrap core aspects of it, foundational components need to be built from the ground up and all of them need to be integrated into a holistic platform. We've already secured funding to help build it out - just need someone to help drive the ship! Note, this is an internal developer platform and a core part of this job is not only building the platform but working with tenants to help scale their workflows to be scale-ready.
The impact you will have:
* Shift capacity management of our fleet from assigning teams to machines through a manual process to a streamlined self-service model leveraging virtual currency across organizations.
* Drive up the effective utilization of our overall fleet of GPU machines to accelerate software innovation within AMD.
* Direct partner strategy on "lego pieces" to incorporate buy vs build decisions over time.
* Grow developers within AMD to shift to cloud-native workflows.
* Grow leaders to own major components of a distributed platform stack.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with building internal developer platforms for GPUs and expertise in fleet and capacity management within a large enterprise. Furthermore, they will not only rely on their leaders but also be capable of being hands-on with the design of the systems they manage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Architect the overall platform and identify key integration points where we can integrate technologies of the larger ecosystem vs. build our own.
* Build out small-medium sized teams to close missing gaps needed to build the overall platform - being hands-on as needed to boostrap those efforts.
* Define and track key performance metrics for fleet utilization, availability and reliability.
* Work closely with developers to understand their pain points and challenges with development at scale.

The annual salary range for California is $178,500 to $331,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits.
