VNG Corporation (VNG) is a Vietnamese technology company, founded in 2004, specializing in digital content and online entertainment, social networking, and e-commerce.VNG focuses on four main businesses, including online games, platforms, digital payments and cloud services.
VNG began as Vinagame back in 2004.
Established in 2004, VNG has seen 14 years of continuous development and expansion to become one of the leading Internet & Technology companies in Vietnam and Southeast Asia with over 3200 associates.
Indeed, Swordsman Online (or Vo Lam Truyen Ky) had a million users shortly after its launch in 2005.
The first version of CSM was published by VNG on 2 February 2006.
ZingMP3, a music streaming service, was launched in August, 2007, currently consisting of 2 versions: website and app on the iOS, Android and Windows Phone platforms.
Zing Me has dominated the Vietnamese online social networking space since it started in 2009.
In order to meet the needs of using internally as well as developing the external market, in 2010, VNG invested in R&D for an Online Payment Platform called 123Pay.
CSM is also got certified for offering national standards TCVN 8702:2011 as in Certificate of Conformance no.
Zalo is a free message and call application on mobile released on 8 August 2012 for iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia Java.
Zing Me is getting popular with more than one million photos shared by users everyday since June 2013
October 2013: In the “Awarding Ceremony of HCMC Entrepreneurs 2013”, VNG stood among 105 entrepreneurs to get the award for “Outstanding HCMC Entrepreneurs 2013”
For 2013, Minh says that mobile will be one of the company’s goals.
April 2014: VNG received the "Third-class Labor Medal " signed by President of Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Merits awarded by the Prime Minister to Lê Hồng Minh, Chairman and CEO of VNG
